Nice, very nice.

to quote, "There is no difference".

If one is shooting black and white using film and switches to digital, there is a considerable difference. Fortunately, I learned that I needed to think 180 degrees from film in order to achieve what I wanted for black and white digital images.

If you are that good at film, then changing to digital will not change that. There is no difference. If you want to take that one shot at a time you can do that. I was there. I do not spray and pray but I sure do take a few extras to get what I want.

I regularly shoot 4x5 and my total cost per negative is roughly $1.50. Not all that outrageous.

David Lyon wrote:
The way Ansel shot can be done at great expense, as he used LF with its movements, which any Canon or Nikon can not get. Yes, you can get a digital back for a 4x5, though I hate to think of the cost.

I just entered

Dodd Camera Mentor Ohio review

in Google. Nothing outrageous came up.

I have been researching bridge cameras on line for a while now and I am on information overload, so now I need to go to a brick and mortar store to actually hold the cameras, I also want their input. The answer I am looking for now has anyone used the Dodd Camera store in Mentor Ohio, I did not see their name mentioned here. Their prices are in line with Amazon and a few others I checked, but I do not know what their reputation is. Any help will be appreciated.

The brightness of this photo reflects the joy that must have filled your day.

Went on an adventure today with my besties. A three hour drive to milk a cow. It was a day full of laughter and sunshine. I think this picture says it all. I hope you enjoy.

No matter how many you have done, each one is like a new one. There are different people, different venues, different methods of doing traditional "rituals", and some unconventional requests, as well. However, you've had experiences and learned from them. This is just another opportunity to put all of that experience together and put together a photograph package as meaningful as the ceremony. You'll do fine.

I knew I would get responses like this.

Just asking for your thoughts. I have scouted it out and have a plan of action. This is one of the larger weddings I have done in a super nice venue.

No matter how many I do I’m always a little
nervous. If you have any words of wisdom please pass them on. Really just trying to make conversation. There is always something new to learn from every person I meet. Do you have anything positive to add to the discussion?

I have a couple of those. I also use an SEI Photometer along with a Sekonic L768DR. The Sekonic a bit more than the others.

That's one reason I carry my Pentax Zone VI spot meter every time I'm doing anything beyond casual photos. I find it easier to use that meter than fiddle with my various camera's metering systems.

Ben, just from what I know about VR, yes, you'd want to have it on, as long as the gimbal is not locked in place. Gimbals will allow for slight movement and that is what VR counters.

I will definitely experiment with this, but I am curious about what others usually do. My assumption is that you would use VR with the long lens on a gimbal. FWIW, i’m talking specifically about using the Nikon 200-500. What do the experts say? VR on or off?

Thanks!
