I have a 13.3" tablet running Android 4.2.2. Am looking for an editor that I'd 1/2 way decent photo editor. Wish to find something that can do some basic editing' and then the ability to print (either an 8X10 print or, or to a Canon Selphie). Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, cost is not important...

How old are you Psergel? Would it be appropriate to do your cataracts instead of doing Lasik? I had both cataracts done last year and I'm seeing 20/20. I did not have the fancy lens put in, so I do have to use reading glasses to read and another pair for the computer. It's my distance vision that is 20/20. Some people, however, have one eye done for close vision and one for distance vision. I decided to get both done for distance vision and am happy that way.

Exactly the same here; very satisfied

I have a Nikon F2 film camera with two lenses. 55mm f1.2 and a 135mm f2.8. Purchased in 70's.
Don't use film anymore. Anyone have an idea who or where I might be able to sell. Also any idea on value. All in great shape.

The 55mm f1.2 should bring about $250 - $350 on ebay, depending on condition; don't know about the F2 though

Four years ago, I purchased a used (but pristine) Nikkor 105D for $400. Two years ago, I sold the 105D for $400, and purchased a used (but pristine) Nikkor 105G for $800. I have experienced no problems at all with either lens. Macro-photographers tend to baby their lenses. I use my 105G weekly. You can view my macro captures lower left, this post. If I had to replace my 105G, I would buy a current Sigma 105-mm macro.

Buy used ($665 - $725) from KEH; have dealt with them MANY times over the last 25 years, with absolutely no problems. Go to the bottom third of this page:

Just finished listning to the NBA judgement on Sterling..

I believe we just witness a Kangeroo Court in action....

These hypocrites are racist in how they promote themselves and are even willing to accept money from a racist. Unreal.
Check it out:

Roslyn M. Brock, the chairman of the Board of Directors of the NAACP, admitted the organization “overlooked” Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s racism because he made “large donations” to the Los Angeles branch and would be developing guidelines going forward for how awards are given in the future.

The Los Angeles branch of the NAACP gave Sterling a humanitarian award and was slated to give him a lifetime achievement award in two weeks before the organization revoked the award after an audio recording surfaced in which Sterling tells a woman that was supposedly his girlfriend to not bring “black people” to his games.

The NAACP revoked Sterling’s award before the NBA banned him from the league for life.

Writing in USA Today, Brock wrote:

Our NAACP chapter in L.A. is not blameless. Because of Sterling’s large donations to local charities, including the NAACP, they overlooked his worse than checkered history on race issues and gave him a lifetime achievement award in 2009 — and were about to honor him with a humanitarian award before his racist recording surfaced.

I have never had it measured but suprisingly little effort is required... had it polished up by a Ranger buddy of mine so it has a lot less pull than a out of the box, factory machine.
Thanks for looking, Harv!

Just wondering; how accurate is it; I shoot some thing almost as heavy (.445 SuperMag) and it gets near MOA on a ransom rest. Only 200 less ft lbs of energy. Shoot both IHMSA & NRA sillouette.

Some time ago, I acquired a Nikon 105mm f/2 DC lens for about $750 from KEH; one of the sharpest lenses that Nikon has produced, IMHO. There is also the 135mm DC, which has a little longer "reach". These are notably smaller / lighter than the 70-200 zoom, and the DC (Defocus Image Control) feature lets you select what is in and out of focus, also, wonderful bokeh.

I have a Nikon D800. I am trying to decide what is the best way to cover wide angle, and what is most cost effective, also. Would it be better to purchase used 20mm and 24mm lenses and perhaps the 14mm lens also, or go with the 14-24mm lens? I think I prefer the 14-24 to the 17-35 from what I've read if I were to go that way. Also, would the primes be better optically? I do understand that the 14-24 is outstanding.

Steve; I have the 16-35mm f/4, and love it.

Nikon still makes a few non-"G" lenses like the AF 50mm f/1.4D, AF 50mm f/1.8D, and AF 200mm f/4D micro. Those are clearly the exception, though.

Actually, Nikon still makes quite a few, most are condered to be "specialty lenses". I just aquired a used 105mm DC lens (still manufactured) and all of the tilt-shift lenses still have "the ring".

From the New York Post:

A woman claims an airport security agent refused to let her disabled sister on board a plane because she couldn’t say her own name.

Sherry Wright says she was shocked at the treatment they received at Los Angeles International Airport, where her sister Heidi was due to fly to Phoenix.

The problems began when Heidi, who was left wheelchair-bound and unable to speak or write after a stroke a decade ago, was stopped by the Transportation Security Administration due to an expired driver’s license, CNN reported.

Wright claims the TSA agent was rude and insensitive, insisting Heidi talk.

“I showed her ID, her (Social Security card) and her DMV papers,” Wright said, to no avail.

“He just wanted me to make my sister talk, and I couldn’t believe it.

“I was just standing there, tears were coming out and I was like, ‘Are you serious? We can’t get her to talk.’”

TSA spokesperson Nico Melendez told ABC7 that it regrets the incident.

“I think it could have been handled differently by the TSA and it probably could have been handled differently by the family, and hopefully moving forward the family won’t have this problem again, because they know about the programs that we have in place,” Melendez said.

Wright’s sister Heidi had to take an eight-hour bus trip to get to Phoenix. She has filed a complaint with US Homeland Security. The TSA has been contacted for further comment.

It is the law. The Supreme Court banned states from imposing total bans on firearms in the home. So you will need a 28th amendment to appeal the 2nd amendment of the Constitution to change anything. “Good Luck”
