Just finished listning to the NBA judgement on Sterling..
I believe we just witness a Kangeroo Court in action....

America is a nation of laws; the NBA has already violated several of this man's rights - the court battle has yet to begin. Curiously, any discussion of how the tapes were made, and how they were divulged, has yet to make the light. The whole scenario has a long way to play out, regardless of what the NBA has ruled. Sterling and the lawyers stand to make a killing, regardless of the NBA's sanctions.
The man is a fool, no doubt about it. However, it seems like any "due process" has been thrown out in the wash. It will be interesting to see who the next owner of the team will be.
Since the NBA is an entity unto itself, most of us are ignorant as to what its rules are for owners. The owners and the lawyers can battle it out in whatever venue they choose, whether the legal court, or the court of public opinion. Then there's the court of media opinion.

And then there is the "Court of Law", which is how the US is founded and how it operates.... The above courts you mention are no more than "club rules" ....

At this point ONLY a racist would still voice any support for Sterling. Don, thanks for validating my opinion of you.

With that logic, had Sterling murdered someone than that would make Don a murderer? You don't have to side with someone to state that maybe there was no kind of legit process involved in a disciplinary action. I'm not suggesting anything other than your harsh words were not very nice and quite possibly unfounded.

Obviously, you have a problem of comprehending what you read...
There is no doubt that you have NOT read my other opinons on this matter...
Please go back and do so, even if you have to have someone explain things to you..............
I do not quite see how a club interpretation of rule is being a court ruling and from there the 'kangaroo' name calling is just as bad as the whole thing that started it...
Pure BS as usual.
Sterling is just another rich old man being led around by his Johnson by a pretty woman.
Once the tape came out I don't think that the league had much choice but to take some kind of significant action. I am very curious, however, just as to how those tapes became public, and how and why they were made in the first place.

Kangaroo court? Are you on drugs or something? The commissioner didn't act until he interviewed Sterling, who admitted that it was his voice. How is that a kangaroo court?
And don't give me any crap about due process or freedom of speech. There is no guarantee of due process or freedom of speech except as it relates to government action. If you come in to my house and curse me out, I don't have to let you stay in my house. If you work for me and say or do something that I find reprehensible, I don't have to allow you the opportunity to defend yourself, and I don't have let you continue to work for me. You are free to say whatever you want, and I am free to react in whatever way I want. Free speech is not even remotely applicable except in relation to government action.
There is no court at all involved here except for the court of public opinion and he lost. Nobody wants a racist around, especially those that played on the team he owns. This decision sends a powerful message that words do have consequences.
