We just had our share of the love bugs! You can keep the grasshoppers up there on your end. lol
Here are a few pictures taken at my granddaughters fast pitch softball game. Shot this with a Nikon d5100 and 55-200vr lens. Shutter speed varied as well as ISO throughout the day. Shooting in manual mode.
First time I have used this camera for sports. Any and all critique welcomed.
Thanks! There are many parks in TN, but this one is my favorite one as well. Just a monster climb in and out of the falls area! Not as young as I once was. lol
Well done! Shoot many in full sun and can appreciate your dilemma with the playback!
Like others have stated, if you are doing a lot of hiking, then a lighter tripod is the answer. I purchased a 3021 Bogen on Ebay for $100. Very stout, but also heavy. Carried it all day in a State Park and thank goodness I had some great help with my grandkids in the carrying department. lol However, it will handle just about anything you put on it. Also has a ball head rated at 16 lbs.
Will certainly be looking for more of your photo's in the future. Very well done.
Very nice. Great shot of the baby bird. Nice bokeh! What lens?
Taken with a d5100, 55-200 lens, ISO varied between light available, but most shot in the 1600 range.
First attempt at landscape shots. All comments are appreciated. Only way to learn!
I have been there in June and July and have encountered snow! Not much, but it got cold and with rain in between the flakes. Be prepared for all kinds of weather. We had electrics on with long johns when we were visiting on our motorcycle. Went over the Beartooth and had a huge snow storm on June 28th. Beautiful place to take lots of pictures. Just be careful of the bears! Looking forward to seeing pictures. Stay on the paths, especially around the bubbling bogs. Not good if you were to fall in.
FredB is right on! Have only had my 5100 for about a month now and am doing exactly what he is telling you. Have taken just about a 1000 shots and really liking this camera. Have been shooting in Manual mode now for about a week and liking the results. Glad I went the DSLR route.
Welcome from Okeechobee! Grew up in Ft. Liquordale and a fun place it was in the early 50's through 70's. Crazy Greg's and the Elbow Room. Oh yea!
Welcome! Great shots of the prison. Was there in the early 60's and some great pics to be had all around Frisco!
