This article was recently shared with my by a friend, and although it did not pertain directly to the type of photography that I do (I don't do weddings, I don't do family portraits, I don't take pictures of people's cats) I did find it interesting, and thought I'd, in turn, share it with my UHH friends.

Even though my business is selling art pieces at festivals, I did find Terrible Client Magnet #1 to be spot on with my experience. Now, I'm interested in hearing what those of you whose business is more client service oriented think.

I have two cameras, a panasonic lumix Zf5 and a rebel t2i with kit lens 18-55mm and 55-250. I seem unable to get really crisp photos with the rebel most of the time although on occasion they look pretty good.
The lumix seems to give brighter crisper photos most of the time which is frustrating no end, as I thought I had upgraded my equipment - especially for birding and animals a bit far away. I can't seem to decide whether the lumix does better because the lens are better (leica) than the kit lens. So should I get a better lens set for the rebel and would that be better all around. Or just go back to using the lumix? I sure could use some help and good advice!

I clearly don't love them.....in fact I never attach them when setting up a new camera. They get hooked on something and have caused more harm than good over the years. But.......REALLY RIGHT STUFF (B2 FABN) has released a new product that attaches to your camera strap (the strap does not attach to your camera)....and you can then clamp on your camera when and if you want....or remove when you want. The strap stays around your neck most of the time with no camera attached. You can then attach your camera only if you need both hands to do something else. Pretty cool.

Here is the link to this little gem

Seems like a lot of money for such a simple device. You could make your own for next to nothing.

It has a optical view finder, 28-200mm lens, 10 MP 1/1.7 sensor and a hot shoe. Images are sharp and clean.

Everything I see, read, And hear talks of not leaving your camea in the car because of heat affecting batteries and lenses. I can understand that, but sometimes it is not an option to take it with you. Is there a safe way to leave it. I thought of a small ice chest with a soda bottle of frozen water in it. Not enough to keep it cold but atleast a lot cooler. How do yall deal with this proplem? Thanks, Charlie

When I leave my equipment in the car for short periods I just throw a jacket on it.

Why are Nikon DSLR's so much better than canon? Those who use Nikon are real photographers. Is it because a Nikon looks like a purposeful instrument whereas a canon camera reminds one more of a potato? Canon always seems to play second fiddle.

Aside from the flash system and a little dynamic range Canon is every bit a match to Nikon. I think the Canon images are cleaner. I like them both.

I took these early this morning with my SX50. I wanted to show how close this camera can get (as long as nothing is moving). No cropping-handheld.

I own a Canon, with an 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens. I am thinking about what lens I should buy next. I was thinking an 18-135mm, because it would cover the gap between the 2 lenses I already have. But I really enjoy macro photography, so would another lens be a better choice?

15mm gap is not worth buying a lens. A good macro lens is your best bet. Skip the short ones as they are not as versatile as the longer lenses. You want some distance between you and the subject. Sigma make a good 150mm.
