Nice shot. Which Green River is this. It doesn't look like the one in Wyoming and Utah.
Linda, I took the photo in color and just converted to black and white on a whim. When I did so, Skull Island appeared.
I will post the original color shot so you can see the difference in mood. Even the color is a bit mysterious.

Thank you all for your kind words. If anyone has suggestions for improvement, they would be welcome.
I am a bit hesitant to post these photos. I feel somewhat intimidated by the great shats I have seen posted here, for example Earl's flowers and Doc's dragonflies. But I guess I won't learn to get better unless I give the wonderful photographers a chance to give me suggestions.
Hi Linda. Great shots. I usually try for the sharpness and depth of field, but sometimes go for the softer picture. In this one, I almost expected King Kong to show up in the background. lol

I couldn't agree more Katy. I have a couple of thousand pictures of snowy egrets, but continue to take mare every chance I get. They are like an addictive drug. The ones you posted are, as usual, excellent.

Well in any case, you can now say that you may be related George Bush who lived in a white house, and his son Lloyd GEORGE Bush who now lives in the same white house. At the seventh through fifteenth cousin level I am related to most of the founding fathers. I bet you are too.

I am glad you enjoyed it abbahaim. Thanks for looking.
Who knows. lol Maybe we are "step related".

My Fathers name was George which is also my middle name. You might not believe it, but our last name is Bush.
I think what you did with the rock in the second photo was a good solution. The photo is excellent by the way.

Thanks for looking woodweasel.
