Some people aren't blessed with "quiet" hands.

Since you are using a tripod, try using a 10 second timer setting. Pressing the shutter release can cause enough "jiggle" to make the picture blurry. This is what to do when you don't have a remote release. I can use my Iphone with my Canon.

Go on line and look up WHCC. White House Custom Color. Call them and tell them what you have and what you want. They might be able to help you out, but be prepared for sticker shock. A 24 x 36 gallery wrap will run about $150.00 or more.

When I was using Nikon DSLR's, I was frustrated with photos that looked soft. I finally figured out that the auto focus needed just a little more time to lock in. I had a tendency to compose and click really fast. I started composing and taking about a half a second in pressing the shutter slowly allowing the auto focus to "catch up". I got sharper photos. This was particularly noticeable in the "kit" lenses.

I can only speak for what I've noticed on my 5D III the color saturation and hues seem truer and richer than my crop sensor

This has been my experience with my 6d vs my 60D. I love ff.

I still use one of these dinosaurs--and I went two years before I had a sensor spot. Dust can be caused by a number of factors. I've never seen a reported sensor issue with the D300. SMH

You must live where there is no dust. All the people I knew with Nikon Dsl's had dust problems, no matter how carefully they changed lenses. The dust in the Panhandle can seep under a storm window and the regular window. A Nikon tech told me they had this problem in dusty areas be cause of the static electricity causing the dust to attract to the sensor.

Lets see, you are comparing an almost antique crop sensor against the newest full frame sensor? How does this make sense. Lets see, my new Ferrarri outperforms my 1986 Ford F-250, Ford is really not doing well in the performance department!
Geez!

Actually, my first Canon was an Xs and it was much better at high ISO's than my D300. It also had no problems with dust spots. I had my D300 for a year and had to clean the sensor 3 times. Sorry about not putting that information first.

Also, my new Ferrari won't pull my stock trailer as well as my 1986 Ford F-250.

I used to have Nikons, the last was a D300. I got tired of the dust on the sensor causing spots on my pictures. Also, the higher ISO on the Nikon was grainy. I made the switch to Canon and never looked back. You can get the 6D with the 24 - 105 f4 L lens which is the cheapest you will ever find that lens. I took a bunch of photos of the inside of a burned barn and used 12,800 ISO and the pictures came out great. My old Nikon would have been super grainy. It seems Nikon is always playing catchup. Just my thoughts from someone who has used both.

I just found this forum and it looks very interesting. I have taken pictures for years, starting with a Kodak Brownie. I went digital several years ago with my work as an insurance adjuster with the small cameras, but still used a Nikon F90 for 35mm work. I made the switch to Digital with a Nikon D50, then to a D200, and then to a D300. I never cared for the dust spots I always seemed to have with Nikons and made the switch away from the "Dark Side" by getting a Canon Xi. I traded to a 60D which I loved, and now have a 6D. I am loving the FF and great color at high ISO. I am semi-retired but I still got out for the floods and went to NJ for Sandie.
