Swede's primary question was, "Why?"

We are getting asnwers to "How to fix?", which satisfy the problem implied, but leave the why of it still waiting.

I agree

Hello Swede, Coatachrome here.

If you have Nikon's Capture 2 you can adjust this problem using the Color Control Points in the software.

Nikon's manual does not do a very good job of explaining how to use the software, there is another book, published by Nikon, written by Ben Long, titled simply Capture 2.

The software that you have has a lot of post processing functions that are very good and easy to use.
Thanks coatachrome (cool handle) and you are correct about Captures Manual, I'll look for the book.

Take a look at the control point functions, and the functions that will shift the image from warm to cool lighting.

Why are these pictures the exposure is fine on the bottom third yet the top 2 thirds is very red shifted. I know what red shifted is in Astronomy but it doesn’t apply here- I think. Is there away of fixing this. I don’t have Elements, what I do have is Nikons Capture NX2.

It'll be a while before one of these shows up in a commercially available camera, but wouldn't it be fun! And I'm guessing it'll take a major computer upgrade, too.

That's amazing. Just a thought, could it be possible to photograph the Zapruder film of the Kennedy assassination, and SEE THE BULLETS, and then know where they all came from, for sure.?

What a great idea, but not possible! The required information does not exist on the original film. Now...if Zapruder would have had this Fento-Camera, it would be a different story!

I'm thrilled you thought it was a great idea, even though not possible. I'm daily amazed and thrilled even, at some of the shots UHH members take, can't wait to see what they get with this FENTO.! LOL

I'll post some next month. Just pre-ordered mine. I hope my check for $1,557,012,328.99 clears the bank. Otherwise it might take longer to post photos.

There is some very good reading in Stephen Hawkings book The Grand Design on how light travels and this video makes it alot easier to figure out if you can see how light travels.
Thanks for posting that, it was very well done, very informative. Just goes to show that your new $5000 camera is tomorrows door stop.

This doesn’t happen all that often. The Columbia River is at it’s highest it’s been in close to 50 years- lots of water. Here’s a link for a Youtube video of the place: http://youtu.be/dUq252k_a7M .
It is a very fast river right now.
