It says that there are other sites in North America with such ancient dates, but this is the first time that they have uncovered one. If it is the first time that they uncovered one, how do they know the other ones exist? Just saying.

This is yet another solid reason why I have never entered the dark world of FaceBook. As a senior adult, I have never found any compelling reason to allow Zuck and his minions access to any aspect of my life. Alas, there are so many alleged grownups all over the world who are addicted to a teenage level of social media presence and can't seem to function without constant interaction. No one has ever been able to give me a single reason to convince me to create a FaceBook account.

Heck, back in the non-digital days, I even always opted to have my telephone number being a non-published number in the telephone directory.

FaceBook can go kick rocks.

What the heck this has to do with photography and smartphone?

Simple: I am tired of seeing folks using their phone vertically regardless of subject. I know the camera lenses are on top but come on, open the field, use horizontal for god's sake, you will see your (err...) subjects better.

Ease of use, availability, does not justify sloppiness. A small twist of a wrist and that's it! There! A brand new worldwide is in front of your... camera.

Anyway, another rant...

I agree. I have always wondered why people thought they had to hold it vertically.

Can you tell us more about the maintenance please? What is done and the cost?

I don't know about other areas, but the company I used comes out every year to change the oil and filter and check the battery plus an overall check and cleaning for about $275.00. I don't think that's to bad. This company does nothing but install and service generators. Very good reputation.

I am researching the feasibility of getting a standby electric generator for the house, perhaps a Generac. I would appreciate any information, pro or con about the unit, have you used it for emergencies, about how much did it cost to install, what size was it, etc. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any information you all may be able to provide.

Regards-----Joe

I just had a Generac 18KW generator installed. It runs on natural gas. Cost of the generator and installation was $10,000.00. It will run the entire house. This is in the Harrisburg, Pa. area. Just installed this week, so I haven't had to use it yet.

One of my favorite cars of all time, though I never drove one. In 1957 I thought the wrap-around taillights were epic. This was seen several years ago at an RV park in Tucson. We are no longer RVers, so we won't be going back there again.

When I was young, about 8, my dad had a '58 Mercury Monterey.

That would work for me although it may still take me a while to get through it.

Sawdust is good stuff. I save different colors in little jars to use as wood filler for certain projects. There are lots of other uses for it.

Indeed and wood filler is one of the best uses if you're a woodworker.

Are gasoline pump hoses shorter just to save money? Remember when you could pull up to either side of the pump island to fill your tank? The hose was long enough to reach across. Now, I see cars waiting at one side of the pump while the other side is empty.

Question: How can you tell which side of the car the gas filler is on if you're riding behind it? (answer is below)

The tailpipe is on the opposite side. For dual exhausts, just guess. You have a 50/50 chance of being right.

If you look at your fuel gauge, an arrow will point to the side your filler cap is on.

Thank you. I was surprised that 65% of this class are going on to college. Seems like a pretty good percentage. Teachers and parents must be doing something right.
