A common bird in Ct. but not so easy to find! I found this male eating the stamen's flowers of what we call Russian Olive...
I threw this together, I thought it would be appropriate at this time...
Thank you for watching!

I thought some might like a few fall shots of South Eastern Ct... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-o7rc81oSs&t=9s
The other day someone downloaded a slideshow of some beautiful tropical birds and I thought, Ct. has some pretty colorful birds, so here is my attempt to show a very small amount of Ct birds... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjykx5qx01Y&t=7s
I was able to take this shot at my feeders. All pictures were taken in Ct. With a Canon 7D MK II and Canon EF 100 to 400 II More Ct. wildlife images https://www.flickr.com/photos/136904201@N08/
Can't resist Pintails! Duck Hunting season will be opening soon and thanks to sportsman $$$, ducks and much-nonhunted wildlife benefit hugely, keeping populations healthy...
A little different look at a preening Barred Owl!!!
My wife calls it the bandit bird, whatever, you call a Cedar waxwing it is a beautiful bird and one I don't see as much as I would like. "One of only three species worldwide in the family Bombycillidae, the Cedar Waxwing is named for the red, waxlike tips on the secondary flight-feathers of adult birds. Sugary fruits dominate the diet of this bird, especially in winter".
I figured it out, I think I like low key bird Photography. This Bald Eagle shot was taken on a beautiful bluebird day ( no pun). I think the portrait and low key adds to a sense of drama! It is easy to imagine this with a blue background so I won't post it but would like to hear what others think!!! Thanks to all!!!

What do you think? My wife loves This shot, me not so much. It was taken at the mouth of the Ct. river when I was looking for Ospreys. I could hear the Swans coming, I was able to get this shot in pea soup fog, just as the lost boat came into sight. I don't know how the boat did not run aground!!!
This helped me a lot!! http://www.digitalbirdphotography.com/contents.html
Incredible shots especially the Butterflies!!!
