Hi
Re the wording, this is put on by the free software maker and i guess it is acceptable as advertising for the fact it is free software,i could remove it by cropping it off but this may alter the dimensions of the photo,i will allow more room for this cropping in future photo,s where i think i may prefere to remove the logo !

I am amazed i was able to take that shot with that camera HANDHELD with 30x Optical and 30 x Intelligent DIGITAL zoom = 60 x a testiment to the advances Fuji have built into the HS30EXR

i dont think my answer would help you as i,m UK and your USA, plus in general ( but this works in your favour) Prices stateside are uusally cheaper than what we have to pay here,if i take an average price for this camera here,EG £360 this converts approx to $540 at present exchange rate,
so i,d guess $500-$600 is the range for a reasonable buy price. Graham

PS Fuji supply it with the camera,so you dont need to buy a hood. Graham

re hood, maybe to prevent glare on lens, but be aware i did see the hood apear on some photo,s taken at extreme wide angle, 24mm end,so best to remove it when using that wide angle, otherwise the hood is a great looking and functional extra.

i glad it does, but please do read the reviews,of which there are many online and if it,s short comings are NOT anything YOU would be concerned about, then buy, it has a lovely feel to it like an SLR but lighter and for a lens which is a jack of all trades is good, i took this photo usung the 30 X Optical lens and the intelligent digtal making it 60 x of the moon in exr, the effect is quite someething i think, hand held too ! and then theres raw !! thats another story.

Graham
PS PHOTO WONT ATTACH I PUT IT ON GALLERY.
