I wore a white cap to an eagle's nest for a shoot one day. My friend asked me not to wear white on bird outings as it's too noticeable to the birds. All this while he was getting out his Canon "white" lens! LOL
There are some beautifuls photos...wonderful to see!
Thanks Billybob...I'm honored!
Thanks blueeyes and RMM. I also see that the Wood Stork is a much better shot. :-)
I appreciate your taking time to comment.
Just to show you how new I am to all this, until last week, I had not even heard of these birds before! LOL
I appreciate you comment. Thank you. I am a newbie and this is my first time posting a photo, so I'm a little nervous about it. Now that the ice is broken, I'm sure I'll post more.
Perhaps not the best pictures, but fun to see the story they tell.
While at Ding Darling last week, I (and others) got to see the nest building in progress. It will be easier eating the fish in their new home for sure!
I was at Disney two weeks ago...I think I see myself in that photo! LOL
Female here and I admit...I had to chuckle reading this one!
Thanks to all...I shall "lurk" no more!
Merry Christmas
Hello everyone. After lurking around in here for short while, I've decided it's about time I introduced myself. I get your newsletter everyday in my email and it's the first thing I read. I've learned that this site is very helpful to people with questions about photography, and one can learn a great deal in here. I've also learned how wonderful and helpful your community of people are to everyone. Two years ago I did not know the difference between an aperture and a shutterspeed. So, I took that on along with photo enhancing software. It's places like this that have helped so much! So, thank you and I'm looking forward to being a part of the Ugly Hedgehog.
For a long time I thought mine did not work very well. Sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't. Then, I learned how to use it.....when I'm at the back of my camera, (Nikon D90) my left hand comes up to the (left side) camera and "click". Works like a charm every time. I love it! Such a simple thing, and I almost tossed it! LOL
It is a stunning photo! Congratulations!
