This was taken at a provincial park on the
Arrow Lakes, British Columbia a little NW of
Castlegar. I was out fly fishing having no luck when
this appeared, didn’t care about the fish any more,
Just took this in and enjoyed every moment, still do-
(July 4, 2009).

I caught this deer today so cute. I tried to get a hawk but the photos were not very good.

Nice shot but I gotta ask - is it snowing already in the USA? Gee it's gonna be a long winter. I love the "look" of snow but that's as close as I want to get.
Maybe we can make a deal - you post shots of your snow and I'll post shots of our summer to keep you warm.

Not US I am in Canada and we have the snow for the winter now. I live at the bottom of a Ski hill they will ski to within a mile of my house in mid season the outrun trail opens in December.

Where in Canada, I'm in Trail, BC, Just got our first little dump, up the hill 8 Miles, Red Mountain nice mountain, Nancy Greene's home (68 winter Olympics- 2 gold, 1 silver in skiing)

I take my raw photos directly into LR 4. Am I missing something by not using NX along with the import process??

If you shoot Nikon the Capture NX2 will become much more intuitive as you get used to it due to the similarities in nomenclature. I have Elements and hardly ever even consider using it.
And Capture NX3 is due out soon, maybe before the end of the year.

Thanks MT Shooter
If I can't figure out NX2 I doubt very much NX3 is on the shopping list, I think when I figure at least alittle more it will be enough until I'm done. It is amazing what it will do, but what I still have a problem with is this really photography.
I very serious about taking out my F4s & F5 alittle more, get to spend alot more time taking them as you do trying to make them better. Much appreciated for your time and response.

What are the major differences-if any between the two- I have NX2 and find it alittle overwhelming, learning ever time but I get frustrated very quick. Ihave been working with the y
YouTube tutorials and it has helped, the Nikonowners manal seems to be written for someone who already knows how to use it.
Is Element much the same?

It works fine with my D2x, I'll try it with my D200, but I'm sure it will work with any Nikon body, including 35mm. As for shipping thats through Canda Post 3-5 day service, tracking servce available. If you want I can send it COD, through Purulator or Greyhound, but I,m positive that will cost more. I'll send it however you want, all 3 places are within 1/2 mile of my house.
Invoiced at $949.50 in 2007, Future Shop in Kelowna, BC, it has taken 2 pictures, put away in a filing cabinet in it's orginal box and case, it's brand new

Stirring the pot with the question:
Is 'color' spelled correctly?
Or it it 'colour'?
My answer is to ask, 'where are you coming from?

You are dead on, here in Canada it's- colour, flavour ect- who's to know which is right. I have a friend who has a master's decree in English, asked him the other day what is the correct spelling of the plural of lens- both are correct. These kinda debates are meaning less, it's like saying my dad can beat your dad up, which we all said in grade 3-- enough. A more important question would be what about NHL hockey

All magicmomentpics wanted to know was how much a lens was worth and here these "I'M CORRECT" twirps take off on some spelling bee making a major issue out of nothing. What harm did this person do spelling the word the way they wanted to? A very clear example of why the world is so screwed up with "critics" like these around.

I think $50 would be a good price for that lehndz too!!

Now that's the correct spelling, Why does this meaningless topic keep coming up, maybe, just maybe it is part of the evolution of the english lanquage. have you ever read some of the other posts, those are what you should be belly aching about. No one complains when members of the British Commenwealth but a u in colour.

Thank you very much! Sorry you will miss hockey this year! We have the Seadogs here and they will continue to play every week at Harbour Station in Saint John NB. I see ticket sales sky rocketing! Now I'm going to sound very UNcanadian here when I say that I could live without it! I'm terribly outnumbered ... I know! lol

Players just turned down another offer- Where can you go a first time employee, 18-20 years old and make $850,000 to play 82 games a year, when with the team every thing is paid for, It use to be for " The Love of the game"
One simple word "Boycott". Go watch local junior teams, these kids try.
We need another WHA (World Hockey League), teams in Saskatoon, Regina, another one in Toronto, Quebec City, some place in the Maritimes, give us our game back
