Thanks for the tour. You live in a gorgeous setting, though the lack of direct winter sun would be too rough-going for me :)

Sooo.....when's the BBQ?
My Back yard looking south, Washington State maybe 10 miles away - This is a view from our backyard. The mountain slope is close to 70 degrees straight up, goes up another 1500 ft. In the winter we get no direct sunlight.
My cousin use to live in the house (awhile back- 60s) and said that when the sun shone through the back door his mother gave them the day off from school.
The one from the front street (power lines in the way from the yard) usually this time of year weather knocks all the leaves off and it looks pretty bland but this year still fishing in shorts.
WOW I would of left it just like that! maybe sharpen it abit
Very nice dog also!

I've used my D700 in pouring rain on many occasions. This was taken in torrential rain with no protection for the camera:

Went for a walk up an old mining trail right behind our house. I visit it often. Over looks Trail BC, the river is the Columbia, I visit that often also.
My cousin who I fish with once lived in the house that we are now living in says he and his brother use to explore up the trail when they were kids, in the early 60's. Says there was an old miners cabin built right in to the mountain, he can't remember exactly were it was. I'm going to try and find it.
