Seems to be quite a bit of confusion about the two sections. The Photo Gallery remains as it was. In other words, you can still ask for any type of critique or comments or neither. Exactly as it was. The Photo Analysis section is only for specific critique, or tutorials explaining how a certain effect was achieved, and the camera settings are to be given. For some reason many seem to think you cannot, or shouldn't, ask for critique in the Photo Gallery. That's not the way I read what the Administrator stated. If I'm wrong let me know.

It's the digital age. Lousy shots? Just delete them, think how you could have made them better, than go out and fire away again. The other day I set up for sunset colors over the LI sound. Did everything right, tripod, f/22, ISO 100, colors beautiful, light perfect. My photos stunk. Deleted them all, went out the next evening, did some bracketing, and managed to get a couple of nice ones after all. I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes, happens to us all, and myself very frequently, but in the end you will get your shots and be proud you had to work for them. Whew, hoped that helped a bit. :) :)

On the eastern side of the park is a small town called Lee Vining. On the outskirts of the town is Mono Lake. It is an ancient lake totally devoid of fish but supporting a population of brine shrimp which attracts birds. It's an eerie, mystical place with formations called tuffas. Google it to decide if you think it's worth a visit. I love it there.

Very nice picture and it reminds me of a joke. This mushroom walks into a local pub, sits down, and yells for the bartender to bring him a cold beer. Yes it is, on low tide you can walk right up to that rock and there are hundreds of birds nesting on it.

This bad bug woke up on the wrong side of decaying leaf. With a bit of persuasion I convinced him to join the party. He said if there was not enough ladybugs he wouldn't stay very long.

I was also wondering if anyone knows what kind of beetle this is? Interestingly, the poor fellow is missing an antennae.

This bug is ready to party but walks kinda slow. Although he will eventually get there he apologizes in advance for being late.
