Well done, composition, exposure and focus, a generic classic.
Yep, the 18-55mm lens is all you need. I use that on my T2i often with good results. A wider angle can increase distortion.
All pictures are over saturated - unreal- stick with natural!
Right on, I have that same combination, which I've used quite successfully for most types of photography - the 15-85mm on the 60D.
Great shots, but tell us what lens and settings you used.
Tremendous DoF, what lens and setting did you use?
The lens is good, but it's the photographer that makes the difference. Nice work!
Great macro work - good focus, exposure and bokeh. Capturing the fly at the right moment is extraordinary, or was it an "ice-box fly?" What settings did you use for the pictures?
The characteristic odor is indicative of what's inside!
Good advice from ecobin, but there's one more important factor to consider and that is where you take the focus point. First set on the center point, then use that on the center of interest, holding it with the shutter half way and recompose to take the picture.
Should we call it "quadrocular" vision?
Superb landscapes. Can you tell us what lens and settings you used so we can all benefit from your expertise?
I have a 60D also, but the problem you mentioned can occur with any camera in auto mode where the light of the pop up flash can be partly blocked by the hood on the taking lens. Try it with the hood removed and/or with a different lens.
Good angle, exposure and selective focus, yielding pleasingly soft backgrounds.
