Hi, am stuck with working out how to edit a RW2 file (Panasonic FZ150) which is cataloged in LR 5.7 which I am learning.
How do I get it to open as a RAW file in PSE14 if I want to edit it there to benefit from Dehaze or the like please?
If I opt to edit in PSE14 (which I have set up ok within LR as the External Editor) the RAW editor doesn't open - PSE14 behaves as though it was a JPEG/JPG or TIFF .
Help and advice most welcome please!

 That's a downer! I'm using Mozilla Firefox myself and like it, and I've been avoiding Internet Explorer for years, since what ever is was we had before Vista, Win 95 maybe?

I've just started to think about upgrading from PSE 19 to 14, primarily because I like what I read about the "content aware" feature. I don't think 13 has the content aware, but does it also restrict you to IE?

I use Safari as default browser and pressing Help in PSE 14 off the toolbar opens a new web window quite happily - was the same with PSE 11 as well if that helps.

Bonjac - thanks for replying - no sign of an Extensions option in the bottom right hand of the pic once on screen.
Not to worry - am exploring LR and PSE as alternatives

Here's a copy of the Photos Help page.

Hi Bonjac, I downloaded the page but when I double-clicked a photo in Photos there was no Extensions option within Edit on the top toolbar?
Any ideas please?

Hi - am looking to move my photos from iPhotos to PSE 14 but having trouble making sure metadata particularly date photo was taken transfers over. At present that is lost and replaced with the date of transfer into PSE 14.
What am I doing wrong and how should/can it be done please?

I have tried what you suggest. When I go into applications I find the icon for iPhoto grayed out with a slash through it. When I click on it I get a message that says I no longer can download this app without upgrading to the new Photos. I've already downloaded Photos and transfer all my photos to it. Much is lost and what I have left cannot be taken into Photoshop or Photoshop Elements . What a mess! I was just reading a post from a gentleman who had spoken to an Apple tech. The tech told him that any sort of fix will be 4 to 6 months incoming.
I have not been successful in finding a pre-Yosemite iPhoto app

After downloading 10.10.5 update via App store I found I had lost ability to access iPhoto though I had been successfully using it up until last week even after having Photos downloaded and being used albeit with a different 'library' of photos..
Via a different User group it was suggested that I try the Combo updater https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1832?locale=en_GB.
It worked for me-after downloading and installing via the Combo, iPhotos is now back up and running. If all else fails -perhaps that might be worth a try - wish I could help more. Might be worth seeing what other Mac users think beforehand to be safe!

Afternoon Cpap! Recent retiree from Oxfordshire here. Been using the time to enjoy a little more wildlife photography in and around the garden, some aviation from planes flying nearby. Dabbling also in photo restoration and repair-would not call myself skilled but let's say-enthusiastic amateur dabbler!
Great forum this by the way-huge knowledge resource and very friendly!

Blackest-Many thanks-really useful overview!
I take it you can nominate Affinity as External editor from within Affinity , make whatever changes you might wish and then when saving it, it saves back into Affinity?
Does it overwrite the original?
Forgive clumsy use of terms etc-I currently use iPhoto and PSE 11.
Very interesting to note the haze tool is on Affinity road map!

What do folks use to manage their photo catalogues? What do you find best linking with Affinity - particularly in terms of post editing and saving back into your digital image manager?

Worth bearing in mind perhaps that the next PSE is possibly due end September, if Adobe follow previous release patterns.
I'm at much the same stage re. LR/PS or continuing with PSE (11) - and think I'll wait to see whether do re PSE.
