Yesterday I suggested sending concerns to our elected officials. I have found this to be the only way that they care and respond to their constituents. I have sent the following to both of my Senators and to my Congressman. I invite you to use wh**ever you find valuable and to write your own message.

It may prove ironic that the existential threat of a p******c may k**l many victims,threaten the way we live, work, and play, and yet bring Americans together over a common cause: the attempt to be prepared and informed as best is humanly possible. Just as the c****-** v***s moves inexorably onward neither recognizing nor discriminating on the basis of boundaries, races, or beliefs, we must search diligently for a comprehensive plan to meet its threat. At the very least we should be able to agree with the scientific data that indicates, short of a miracle, that the predicted of spread of the v***s is valid, that little can be done currently to arrest its progress, and that we cannot sit by idly and await the consequences. We cannot afford the luxury of time that Politicians typically take forming committees and doing investigations. The v***s does not operate on that sort of schedule. We cannot tolerate recriminations of what might have been done when and by whom. We cannot keep the public in a cloud of false hyperbole and optimism nor plunge it into unproductive despair.
What we must do is:
• Rely on experts from the medical and scientific communities to offer pragmatic, relalistic, and quickly enforceable solutions.
• We must educate the public about the basic hygiene that might minimize t***smission of the disease.
• We must prepare Americans for the changes they will have to accept as part of their daily lives.
• We must discourage and dismiss conspiracy theories and outright fabrications.
• You must find government funding to help alleviate the problems that will be faced.
I realize that there is debate, amongst experts, of what can, should, and cannot be done. They range from time, monetary and personnel limitations, to Constituional limitations on suspending civil liberties. No plan will satisfy everyone’s beliefs. No plan is certain to work. But the American people deserve a t***sparent process that will hopefully convince us that a non-partisan, honest, productive, openly communicated process of pr********n has been attempted. When the fears and infections have subsided we will all be judged by how we responded with the little time available. I hope you will choose to make yourself a hero.

I was hoping to keep this somewhat civil, but you truly qualify as a fool. My posts are prolific and available for viewing all over the website. Just because you haven't seen them makes your comment i***tic. You try to make it sound like the Chinese are in some sort of conspiracy to create the p******c despite the fact that they have so far suffered the greater number of casualties. I again suggest that you do a bit of research of where and how p******cs have originated and spread throughout history.
Eating habits are largely based on tradition and availability. Do not be so quick to condemn people. And what in particular is evil or dangerous about Rhino horns? It would be wise to promote education as to the risks involved in open markets with cross species t***smissions of disease. The Chinese government would be well advised to eliminate these risks utilizing the authoritarian powers at their disposal . . . and they have started to do so, albeit too late. The U.S. has its own problems eliminating deeply entrenched traditions shown to be deleterious to healthy living. I grant that these do not spread disease.
My news sources are varied and wide and include this website which you apparently read very selectively. I find it most disturbing and dangerous that you have so little self awareness of your limitations.

Excellent observation and it will surely end up that way. Case in point: An 18-year old Canadian girl recently died while waiting for an organ t***splant. Although there were donor organs available for her (lucky girl) the socialized medical system was limited with the small number of t***splants that they could do because of a shortage of staff and facilities to do more (unlucky girl).
