You got me Dennis, every time I take pictures of cars or flowers I say I will remember that, but at home I don't recall it anymore. Old Age.

That's exactly how I go through life.

Awesome shots, Mike. I love old cars, especially those from the 30's. Just one little problem - I can't identify the first one.

We spent a week in St. George a couple years ago. Gorgeous area. Snow Canyon is a nice easy short trip. We also took in Zion and the Grand Canyon North Rim - both gorgeous places. The whole area is very scenic, especially for folks like us who live in the east because it's a whole different world.

Well hello, Randy. Haven't seen you on here much lately. Actually, I haven't been all that active myself. But since you put forth this challenge I will jump in. This was shot in North Trescott, Maine this past summer. I like it because it's the kind of scene I'm always looking for. I drove by it twice before deciding to walk back and take the shot. Just a little touching up in Camera Raw. Stay in touch.

I was very taken with this one in the latest issue of Nature Photographer magazine.
"There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs."
Ansel Adams.
I'll remember this when I get hung up on rules of thirds or leading lines or any of that academic rubbish. If it's good enough for Mr. Adams it's good enough for me.

That's a good one but I'm not sure it was about photography.

I have to go with this one - my first reasonably successful attempt at photographing stars. This is Mt Chocorua in New Hampshire. I waited and waited for what I thought was light pollution to go away, then realized I was photographing the Aurora Borealis.

The D7100 does offer automatic ISO and let's the user choose aperture and shutter speed. I find this option very useful for some of my shooting situations.

I'm enjoying this challenge so much I can't help sneaking in one more. A family of Canada geese on Pemaquid Lake in Maine.

Love that covered bridge shot, Pat. Porter-Parsonsfield, right? Believe it or not, I have yet to visit that one.

Hey there Dennis, I'm glad you liked it. That image was taken during a balloon rally in Pittsfield NH, it was their sunrise take off on a Sunday morning. The pilots took turns doing touch and goes off the surface of the river before heading off to their next destination.

I was afraid you were going to say Pittsfield. My wife and I were planning to go there but got lazy at the last minute. Maybe next time. Do you know when it is?

Well, it's a good thing the camera knew what it was doing in #1 - great shot!
