Nice job of capturing the nebulocity of the sisters. I know how hard it can be.
Nicely processed as well.

Nicely shot and processed Mr. B.
I haven't been able to put eyes on it with binocs and it's too cloudy tonight to try and play with my scopes.
Well done.

Actually, I keep a nice stock now of meat to work with.
I've taken a good liking to making Jerky from Pork Loin (much cheaper than beef).
And I discovered a recipe for smoked baked beans that it seems is very liked. Betty had me make some for the Family get together today.
I wound up with 6 quarts! I only know that because the two half-sized steamer pans I baked and smoked them in just fit in her big Crock Pot. (Makes it easier. Just plug it in on warm, and it holds for the party.)
Very surprising she is endorsing them, there is Jalapeno's in it. But I use about 1/2 so the heat is subtle. Slips it past the Tammi tender tongues of the Familia.
Ha, Ha, Betty is going to Hawaii for a week to visit the relatives there, and see the cousins new Baby Girl. Sonny is staying home with his old dog, and we are going to bbq A BUNCH.
And I have 4 slabs of home cured Bacon to smoke. They should be ready for the smoker just before she leaves. And ready to slice about when she gets back.
I'm getting to be a real BBQ Bubbah - Smoker Sonny

Nice you got you a big Pellet grill. They are nice!

Listen though, this is a very important safety issue!
It is important to have an ice chest nearby when bar-b-queing.
It needs to have iced down beers in it in case of an accidental burn.
If a burn occurs, the cold can of beer needs to be applied to the affected area to cool it.
If by some odd chance the beer evaporates, it should be replaced with another ice cold beer.
An ice cold beer should be on hand at all times while tending your BBQ.
It is not a "man" thing, it is a Safety item. Beer can quell the pain of a burn by cooling it from the outside, and anesthetize it from the inside.
Don't let your wife talk you out of this safety item for your BBQ.

You can also set your fire extinguisher beside your cooler full of cold beer.
Actually, I keep a nice stock now of meat to work ... (show quote)

Thanks Sonny but beer is not a reactive but a proactive commodity.
One must always start with a 2 beer minimum loading dose.

Nicely shot and processed.
Quite beautiful.
Like you I am torn between the overlay. I see what you are trying to do but the faux matting is just a tad flat.
Things are finally getting up into the part of sky that I like at a reasonable hour.
Now if weather and work would quit conspiring to halt my efforts.

I thought Albuquerque had dark skies? Maybe way out of town?

I live near the middle of the grey blob. This is supposed to be a Bortle 9 but I use a pretty nice app to monitor view ability that sets me as a Bortle eight. You have to get about 10 miles away to get a decent view but we are surrounded by Indian reservations making it difficult to stay close.
The mountains close us off to the east.

Woo-Hoo Jim!
Good shootin!

I found the magic key to clear skies!
Any night I have to get up 3-4 AM, I can count on the sky being crystal clear.
Any night there is no early runs, I sit and watch TV under smoked and crap skies.

Thank you Sonny.
I also found magic by having to work. When I get off the clouds like to welcome me back.
I don’t suppose you are still gnoshing on your smoked fish?
I picked up a large pellet grill to smoke with and love it.

I haven't caught one yet. Good job?

Thank you 🙏
I usually have to post pictures of clouds whenever there’s a meteor shower.
I tried not to over lighten it due to the amount of light pollution I have.
I can pull more of the meteor but with it comes noise.

I usually wind up seeing one and capturing none.
This year I was able to see 5 really nice examples and captured 2.
This was a 15 second shot and the light pollution is pretty evident at my Bortle 8 location.
This is the best of the two and it's not the best but I wasn't shut out.
Hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving.

Oh my. Rereading my comment I see that it does sound like I was scolding you. I apologise. I intended only to share my awe and gratitude that photography and amateur astronomy have come so far. My first look at Saturn was more than sixty years ago and I can still recall that night, but I suspect the years may have sharpened the image more than the small telescope I was looking through.

I just realized that I didn't respond to this reply and I apologize.
I did not take offense at all and was basically agreeing with your observation.
I was also Saturn struck the first time I was able to see it and it has always been the planet I try to see and image when I can.
I added a reprocessed shot above that I am quit pleased with and would never have been able to create so long ago..
I have added Jupiter to my list of summer objects that I love to play with and image trying to capture transits of the moons with shadows.
I keep fine tuning that process as well.
We are now also coming into Sonny's favorite object starting to rise at a time when I can sneak shots in.
Orion and the Orion Nebula are easy to see and tough to shoot without blowing out key features.
Some nights I feel like a bug hitting a windshield and others I feel like the windshield.
This was shot early Sunday morning with a Tamron 150-600mm on a modified Canon T2i and tracking with a Celstron mount.

Nicely done Jim! My very first imaging attempt years ago with Saturn, knowing nothing about anything, I thought I had to expose for a long time since the sky was dark...so I did. A single exposure with a crop sensor Canon...about 4 or 5 seconds I think. I got a white oblong blob and 5 tiny dots of moons for the attempt. I've never gotten another image of Saturn's moons.

Thank you very much.
I was surprised that I was able to pull so much data considering I am shooting in a Bortle 8 zone.
I used the following site to determine where the moons were at the time I was shooting and when I processed I used it to confirm what I was seeing.
I went back and processed using fewer frames and pulled this shot with all 5 moons identified.
The moons are somewhat hard to see but should show if clicked and zoomed.

Nice Shots Sunny.
I am also glad you were able to get a little bit of "up time".
All work and no play.
Here's hoping everyone of our group is handling or got the heck out of the way of this storm.
Keep looking for something from Ed but he might have his hands full..
