After my run at Comet Wirtanen I finished off the night with the subject targets. Used the same setup of ATIK Color Horizon camera, Stellarvue 60 scope, Hutech HEUIB-II filter, Celestron AVX mount.
I shot the Orion Nebula with 170x15sec., low gain and 1x1 binned to conserve the Trapezium. I'm always amazed by the gas/dust swirling around this nebula!
The Pleiades was simply shot to finish off the night...
Enjoy!

Thanks guys! I was a pretty reasonably night for a change.
And probably the first time I've ever captured the whole Orion Nebula in one exposure session.

Very nice Brian!
It seems the SV 60mm has a wider FOV, or the Horizon Camera does.
My 80mm has a tighter FOV.

Mostly, it is due to the Horizon Camera having a larger sensor. The sensor is about the size of a m4/3 camera. The focal length difference does contribute too.
Good looking m42 and 43 Brian, great job.
Hey Brian,
I like your detail in M45, do you mind if I play around with your image and post?
