Janny and I went for a drive to see if they were working the horses yet. I think they took the day off too.:):) Not much going on. So we just drove around and had fun looking. Janny took the pictures today!:)

Great pictures Irv, the cow in #1 looks a little thin unless she is a milk cow. I like driving through the Amish country too. We have some in and around Arcola Illinois. Thank you for sharing..

Just got back from a week long "camping" trip with my little 17' pull-behind trailer to Hendersonville, NC where I went to Chimney Rock State Park and DuPont State Forest for some hiking and "down time."

Great series of pictures, I especially like the old barn. Thanks for sharing.. :)

Still a working ranch

Great photo. Looks like beautiful country. Thanks for sharing. Even has a John Deere tractor setting in the barn yard. Shame the tractor is not closer in age as the barns are.

This park, off the Hillsborough River and near the University of South Florida in Tampa has the widest range of wildlife that I have seen in one place. Definitely a place that I will return to.

Hope you enjoy.

The West Highland Way (Scottish Gaelic: Slighe na GĂ idhealtachd an Iar) is a linear long distance footpath in Scotland, with the official status of Long Distance Route. It is 154.5 km (96.0 mi) long, running from Milngavie north of Glasgow to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands.
About 85,000 people use the path every year, of whom over 30,000 walk the entire route.
The path uses many ancient roads, including drovers' roads, military roads and old coaching roads, and is traditionally walked from south to north. As well as increasing the sense of adventure, taking the route in this direction keeps the sun from one's eyes.
The route is commonly walked in seven to eight days, although many fitter and more experienced walkers do it in five or six. The route can be covered in considerably less time than this, but a less hurried progress is the choice of the majority of walkers, allowing for appreciation of the countryside along the Way. Indeed, enjoyment of the natural surroundings of the walk is the primary motivating factor for many people following the route.

Taken in La Honda, CA. Nikon FE3 film camera. Freshly painted at the time...wonder if it's still even there? It was on Highway 84 between Redwood City and the coast.
Kodachrome 25 slide film, scanned with HP S20 scanner. Anyone know if it's still around?

I never tire of them! Better hurry and get as many shot as you can. In our country, they are falling down, being torn down and being replaced with metal buildings. Ughhhh!

That old barn looks nice in this setting. Thanks for posting. I too like old barns and probably has something about me being an old farm boy myself..
