I promised an update. It survived another winter and is still standing. I don't know why.

Haahaahaa.
Now there is some engineering at it's finest.
Is it the piles of rocks or the stick in the middle
thats load bearing?

That is one barn perched precariously. I think a serious windstorm will knock that down.

Unbelievable! And he has his new John Deere parked in there? Look at the post to the right, another great support. I'm surprised it doesn't poke a hole in the floor.

Why not another year? It's probably only seen 200 or more winters already. Great subject.

Looking at it's condition his grand dad probably put it up and he has complete faith in it.

That is so cool I love old barns, I collect pictures of them from a friend of mine in VA and do wood burnings of them. No I'm not a barn burner.
