Outstanding image. Perfect in every aspect. Please tell them to fly to the Midwest and then New England

Thanks for your comment! I'll pass that message on. I'd imagine these early arrivals are mostly passing through on their way north...well, and maybe way over toward the midwest too!

...and we'll fill up the hog with out photos of 'em! So, here's mine. They have just started showing up around these parts and here's one of the male early arrivals. They make wonderful practice for BIF shots!
This one shot at ISO 400, 380mm, f5.6 at 1/2000 second. C&C welcome as always!

Took this one last night...a second attempt of an International Space Station flyover and an experimental first attempt at a bit of light painting. Wanted to get a bit of light on the chimney so I used a flashlight during the 48 second exposure.

ISO 100, 48 second exposure, f6.3 at 14mm with PP in LR4.

C&C certainly welcome.

This chimney is on private property and the landowner was kind enough to give permission. I hope when he sees this that it will open the door to get back out there for other shots including a full moon and milky way.

...There will be a professional photographer for the formal photographs, with me clicking away in the back ground.
I plan to introduce myself to the photographer and explain what I have been asked to do and hope he/she does not mind.

I think I would ask the friends to make that initial contact with the other photographer since they would have made the arrangements with him/her. In my mind, they should be the ones to explain to the photographer what they have asked you to do.
Good luck with it!

Since they are in the area, buy them a bag of sunflower hearts. You'll be posting cardinal pictures before long.

Yup, what Bill said! Especially now that you know you've got one around!
