I believe this to be a Marbled Orb Weaver, but not sure. I thought with Halloween just around the corner it was sort of appropriate.
D90, ISO 200, 68mm of extension tubes, Nikon 70-210 at 105mm, diffused flash at 1/2 output, lightly processed to increase sharpening in PSE 11.
Comments welcome.

Yep, it was discussed on here a while back, found out it says on the can their's a federal law against using it other than what it's intended for.

I believe every aerosol can says that!

Since the District is just across the line from Virginia, I imagine that District residents mosey down to Ol' Virginia to a gun show and load up on firearms. Same sort of thing for Illinois residents. How many gun show vendors do any sort of address or background check? Very few, I'd wager!

In many years of traveling in this great country I've never encountered border controls when passing from one state to another, or when entering a city.... :)

There is an ATF/BP stop on I-10 in El Paso. They stop every vehicle passing East bound. Just went through it a couple of months ago.

Female Yellow & Black Orb Weaver spider (Argiope aurantia). Where did you see her? Are you able to monitor egg sac?
We are in northern South Carolina. I should be able to keep an eye on the egg sac. It will be interesting to see if I can catch them coming out. I will try any way. Thanks for the reply.

Not at all sure just what this is but it was almost 3 inches long in its entirety.
The third shot is what I assume to be her egg sack. It was hanging just a few inches away from the main web.
I know they are all not "tack" sharp as it was very hard to get too and I just don't have a good prime lens for macro.
The first two are lightly cropped.
D90 with 58mm of tubes and a 70-210 Nikon lens at 105mm, ISO 200 and diffused flash at 1/2 power.

Erv I would eat dirt before I'd eat possum! They ain't nothin' but great big rats as far as I'm concerned. Being raised on a dairy farm in Ohio I saw them eat things (dead things) that a vulture would puke up. YUCK!
