This is really lame, but didn't have time to go out and shoot, or scan etc. Instead I was chained to the house and, yes, this is gross - this is why. Hate cleaning this appliance. But it is DONE.

YEA! What a riot, Pat! Don't blame you-I hate that job ,too!
It did fill the "Then and Now'!

Its great to see that building is going to be preserved, far to many are are pulled down. It sounds like an interesting theme you are trying to start.

Hi, Doddy! Nice to see you here! Would love to see some of your country! England has so many wonderful antique buildings in spite of the 2nd world war! And there are those that have been rebuilt as well!

Judy, this sounds like a good theme and interesting. I'll have to see if I can come up with something to share. Need time to think about it.

Hi, all glad to hear that thinking about the Challenge is on your minds! Buchitto (Richard) sent me a interesting piece that shows what can come when you really excel in the photo mechanic area! Way beyond me but fascinating! Here's the link -it may put some creative thoughts in your mind!

Then and now Civil War pictures

Here are twelve phenomenal photographs from the Civil War era, superimposed with photographs of the same scenes as they appear today. Photos #1 (Antietam); #3 (Slave Auction House); #6 (Devil’s Den); #7 (Evergreen Cemetery); #9 (US Capitol); and #10 (Ford’s Theater) are especially remarkable because you can clearly identify the original architecture. History fans will especially enjoy these pictures.
You can switch between the then and now photos by dragging the white dot to the left or right…
