Was thinking that it would be fun to dream up photos showing Then and Now-or before and after. They could be illustrations of a home project, garden endeavor, even baby to adult photos. Actually , whatever the words then and now call to mind...Have fun and show us your thoughts!

Now -I shot this while Thom was visiting..condition was deteriorating severely
Side entrance-shingles in disrepair(to be nice)
Now, over the next few years it will transform into an Art Gallery-Thanks to the efforts of a group of Cheshire High school graduates and a nice grant from the St. of Ct. and many private benefactors
Side of receiving area-recognize the plywood designs?
Very healthy Poison Ivy window drapes!

Judy, this sounds like a good theme and interesting. I'll have to see if I can come up with something to share. Need time to think about it.

Loc: Barnard Castle-England
Its great to see that building is going to be preserved, far to many are are pulled down. It sounds like an interesting theme you are trying to start.
Hi, all glad to hear that thinking about the Challenge is on your minds! Buchitto (Richard) sent me a interesting piece that shows what can come when you really excel in the photo mechanic area! Way beyond me but fascinating! Here's the link -it may put some creative thoughts in your mind!

Then and now Civil War pictures
Here are twelve phenomenal photographs from the Civil War era, superimposed with photographs of the same scenes as they appear today. Photos #1 (Antietam); #3 (Slave Auction House); #6 (Devils Den); #7 (Evergreen Cemetery); #9 (US Capitol); and #10 (Fords Theater) are especially remarkable because you can clearly identify the original architecture. History fans will especially enjoy these pictures.
You can switch between the then and now photos by dragging the white dot to the left or right

Hi, Doddy! Nice to see you here! Would love to see some of your country! England has so many wonderful antique buildings in spite of the 2nd world war! And there are those that have been rebuilt as well!

Hey,Jim, there you go! :thumb:
Love the old barns and the idea of weathered wood put to good use!

Love the barn board walls.. And the old kitchen range.. Ah...., a rocking chair, a pot of tea, and a good book. the atmosphere says it all! Let the wind roar and the rain pour, meanwhile one would be snug and cosy inside reading a bit of history!
Looks like an interesting subject Judy! Thanks for hosting...I will be back!
