can't argue at all with your ideas. I've never gone that far with the foamy effect before, but was fascinated by the composition and the fact that I had to hike a half mile up this creek to get there.
wish I had one less foamy to show, but at that spot, this is the only one.

originally, because the boards that were the roadbed would get slick and the horses could slip.
also, you may notice that almost all have some kind of windows or openings so the horses could see out and not get spooked,

generally, if I'm going to shoot with direct flash, I'll lower my contrast so I have more range to work with in post. I know this was just a test and it looks like you'll get good results with this setup.
also, Jean< good use of manual. many would just let the camera do thier thinking.

This was my third shot and is as shot.

thanx, Jerry. I always thought pics I had seen of the colors in the Caribbean must be over done--till I went there the first time. that's just how they are, but it took a couple of days for my head to adjust.
