Ditto concerning cataracts. I have had issue with night time driving, depth perception is my issue. Went to eye doctor, said I had the beginnings of cataracts, nut not bad enough for them to recommend surgery. Not sure i understand this, is it insurance or risk factors, I refrain from night time driving but cant always avoid it.

one trick i found when threading wire through conduit, particularly small diameter is to pur some disg detergent into the conduit first. it slimes it up pretty good

Actually for clarificatio, I use Nik Define for noise. works pretty good but I also have Topaz noise which I find works better for ISO above 800.
For haze I use Nik Color effects 4/Tonal contrast. It does a great job cleaning up haze and improving contrast and clarity

My Canon pro 100 shuts itself off completely. Maybe there is a setting to have it go to a power save mode, but I haven't been bothered my pushing the on button. I don't know how long it stays on before it auto shuts off, but if I am print a dozen or so over a period of a few hours it stays on.

Anyone out there using the Tamron 28-300 vc ona full sensor camera? How does it compare to a Tamron 24-70 in the shorter range if you have one to compare.

I had this problem when I first got the 5d4. It would drain the battery in about 1/2 hour. I tried shutting the camera off, which solved the problem, but the left the camera switch in the on position again and this time the battery did not drain. In between I did put the battery on the charger overnight, so my guess is the battery was not very much charged when it was orginally shipped. have not had any issues with battery lif since, even using different batteries. I do keep Wifi off, and do not have gps.

I have 90,000 pictures now. I sort be year, then by topic or event. If I have say 100 pictures on a sd, card which are miscellaneous events, i sort by date, easy to do on a Mac, I create new folders in the respective year and create events and put the pictures in their correct folders. If there are truly pictures that are truly miscellaneous, i create a file called yyyymisc,like 2016misc.
AS for duplicates, If you try putting pictures into an existing folder that already has these pictures, the mac will prompt you to decide which one to save. I then delete the duplicates iff the "sending drive' like an SD card.
As for deleting pictures, I spend very little time doing this as it takes times, an i have way more storage than I'll ever need. I two 8tb drives, and back one up onto, the other.

yes, but if you videos, you will consume a lot. Plus if you do panographic pictures, wit a 30mp camera, 6 pictures combined each final one can be 3 gb. now you may only get 20 years out of it. But in a few years 16tb will be a common drive size.

There are 8tb external drive for $129 now, buy 2 if you want more backup. I use n SSD for current pictures, ones I am woking on for instance. The I copy to both 8tb hard drives. I save by year, and the by event. I also do not erase my SD cards until the double backup is complete. it mght seem like a lot of work, but really isn't.
