Welcome. As a fourth generation S. African I enjoyed your photo from KNP.

Thank you. Before I left on the trip, I told everyone I was going big game hunting -- with my camera. And I did just that. I have so many beautiful photos of S. Africa and the trip is one I will never forget. From your photo on the side of your comment, I see you are in Jacksonville, FL. So am I. Nice to meet you. Perhaps we can get together sometime and talk photos. :-P

Thanks Mariak. I took so many wonderful photos of the animals in their natural habitat, I could almost do a large coffee table book.

I was extremely familiar with the Olympus so making photos with it was easy. The D5200 is so very different, but I am having fun with it and hope to one day make really wonderful photos with it too.

Hello everyone. I have been a member here since mid-June when I upgraded my camera from an Olympus C700 to a Nikon D5200. Now, I will admit this was quite a jump for me and there is so much I need to learn, but, that is why I am here.

I am attaching a few of my recent photos from a trip I made last October to South Africa. I have to tell you, I came home with about 3800 pictures -- the animals in Kruger National Park were so amazing. It was on this trip that I realized my 10 year old Olympus was no longer doing the kinds of pictures I found I wanted to take.

Enjoy the photos. Please note, these photos are not enhanced or upgraded in any way. They are in original format.

Using brochures is a great idea, once you determine who your target market is. For instance, if you are targeting the tourists who are staying in hotels, using a brochure to place in the hotel's lobby is a great advertising idea. This worked beautifully for my husband, whose business was Sightseeing tours over the Palm Beach area in a WACO Open cockpit Biplane. Our brochures showed him flying (photos taken from another plane while flying next to him) and the brochures were very effective.

If you are using the brochures as handouts at local arts and crafts shows, home shows, bridal fairs, (or similar locations), the brochures will be somewhat effective, but, more likely than not, will end up in a bag with so many other pieces of paper, they will be thrown out.

Our brochures were a full color 8-1/2 x 11 inch photo on the outside with the information of the business on the inside and were indeed a profitable advertising choice for us.

Good luck in your ventures.
