Nice action shots! I recently went to a softball game to see if I could get some shots...I'll have to go dig those up and have another look. Love how you caught the ball like that.

Love the shot. Wood is so interesting with how the grain differs from piece to piece. What type of wood is this?

I posted these just before I left for work this morning. WOW! Thank you all for having a look and for your comments! I'll be keeping an eye on this family for sure and hopefully get a shot or two of the chick before it takes off for good. Thanks again everyone!

I've got a hawk nest in my neighbor's tree that I've been keeping an eye on. So I stepped out the other day to have a look and the mama or daddy flew off the nest, circled back and landed in a nearby tree.
Shot with my Canon 7dII and 100-400L with heavy crop.

Hello All.

I've recently had a serious problem with CR2 (RAW) files from my Canon 5D Mark II. Take a look at the images attached.
I've troubleshot everything I can think of.
. Checked computer - not an issue with graphics card.
. Used new, formatted 16GB SanDisk card
. Downloaded directly from 5DMII
. Reinstalled the software (CS6 Photoshop)
. Updated the software plug-in for Photoshop CS6
. Reinstalled firmware for the camera

Now, this is happening quite often. It started out only a few here and there, and now it's quite frequent.

Any suggestions? Anyone had this problem before?

In a jam as I can't put my camera in the shop. Only alternative is to use my Olympus E500 and even though it's a great camera, it's still not the camera the Canon is.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

David Neeley
Hello All. br br I've recently had a serious prob... (show quote)

Watching with interest. This is exactly what happens on my 7dii. Doesn't happen with the SD card, but happens more often than not on the larger card (CF?).
I use a card reader that I'm suspecting to be the issue.
Usually, when I pull the card out and re-insert it, the photos will be clear and as shot.

Nice shot. I've never shot a hummer before, but a neighbor friend of my parents about a mile away has a feeder in her backyard. None around here, though. IMHO I would have cropped a bit tighter...taken some off the top and left. Someone suggested a different crop of a daisy I took and it was so much better that I'm having it framed (along with another pic) for a public display our camera club is having next month during a major art show.

Thanks planepics, for the comments and for looking! Get a feeder out...if you've got someone a mile away with 'em, you'll have 'em too. Not sure when they arrive to you, might take a bit longer than around here. Good luck!
