Need help in choosing a single indoor cfl bulb for portraits. So many conflicting opinions and yet can't find a single recommendation what brand and which bulb to use. I am looking for a cri 90 day light cfl about 65 or 85 watts at a reasonable price. Thanks Ron

You might try Service Lighting. Looks like they have about anything that you would ever need.

I am sorry for putting the wrong program on the question, I meant to say portraitprofessional. I will blame it on old-himzer desease.

I don't know how old you have to be to get the old-himzer disease, but I do know that you can get "Sometimers" at almost any age. I know because I have it.

I always fill out mine and then register it online. Put the date that I registered it on the card as well. Don't generally complete the survey questions on the card or online.
I put my copy of the card in with the rest of the printed material that I got with the item.

On Saturday, I will be starting my new way of eating (healthy), I might be grumpy when my body realizes that I am depriving it of it's love for Diet Dr. Pepper and chocolate.

You have been warned. :)

I thought I was the only one calling it my new way of eating and not using the "D" word........Good luck

I will NOT use the "D" word, that setting myself up for failure.

From what I see in the photo of you in your avatar, you don't look like you need to change your way of eating. What kind of hardware are you going to use to eat with that makes it a new way? Obviously you will still be using your mouth to start the process of getting it to your stomach.

Here are some of the Crazy Horse photos from 1974.
Slow progress on a huge undertaking.

These were scanned from slides.

made that trip in 1978 great pics still waiting for crazy horse to be finished

Our family went in 74 and they had just finished getting their first tunnel under where the arm sticks out. If it wasn't for their model on the observation deck, it would have been difficult to have any idea of what it was supposed to be or end up looking like some day.

I do have pictures of what it looked like then.

Here's mine! This was taken on one of the five bike paths we have in Greene County.

Lots of discussions on here about the useability of converters. For myself, I have 2 and haven't used either of them for over 10 years. They are light robbers and the AF never works well with them on. Metering is sometimes off too. Not worth the trouble in my opinion. If I could get somewhere close to what I paid for mine they would be gone in a flash.

How much will you get for them if you don't sell them? Something reasonable beats nothing at all.

Squirrels

The one you are calling a white squirrel looks like a grey one with a white strip through the middle. I have a picture of a white squirrel (albino) if you want to see it I can put it on your topic. It is one that I took with my 4 megapixel Olympus with a 3x zoom.

Seems like a lot of people jumped in putting their photos on here without an invitation to do so.

If you want people to be able to CLICK on your link in your profile, you have to include the HTTP:// prefix in your url.

That step is mentioned in the rules and guidelines for the site, which it appears no one reads anymore...lol

You are sure right there. See too many of the rules broken every day. Especially photos put on reply without an invitation.
Must be that the rules apply to everyone else but them????

I didn't think that any other pictures were supposed to be posted on a topic without an invitation to do so.

I didn't see that invitation along with the original pictures.

Just to bring another side to this (and I think it's a valid one)

One way to keep the lens changing down to a minimum is to force yourself to take just one lens out with you when you go out on a day's photo shoot....

That way it will force you to be more creative and spend your time creating images out of what you have screwed to the front of your camera rather than spending your time changing lenses.

It also has the advantage of making you VERY aware of how your chosen lens sees things and you will be more able to "see" a shot after a while...

Your "haul around" pack gets very very small, and you feel "freed" by your limitations.

Just a thought.

I could get buy with a single lens. Who makes a 12-600mm F2.8????

They could probably make one by the time you could afford it. Just keep saving piles of money and live long enough. :D

maybe voting should be mandatory. he he.

Maybe we should adopt the same law that Australia has, where it is mandatory to vote, or you are fined. Extreme cases require valid excuse for not voting and an absenty ballot is mailed tho them. This has been in effect since the mid 70's there.

If there is absentee voting in your state, then there is more than a one day voting window. Another thought to consider is to only allow those who pay income taxes to vote. It is their money that the government is using and they should have some voice in getting the right representation in the country.
