These are much better than being under exposed. They almost take on an "artsy" look. I like them. Blowing out the background distractions saved a lot of post processing. Ingenious.

Great story and great pictures. I was there in 2003 but didn't come away with a story or pictures of any worth except as memories.

Is it a circular polarizer? They give different results from the ones you rotate.

Very well done. I pay attention to backgrounds and this one is the best. Beautiful flower too.

Well, 'tis also sweet to remember and I'm remembering last summer's trip. The Painted Desert is not as spectacular as the Grand Canyon, but it still holds memories.
