No need to do that. OP has fixed it and the suggestion to send it to Nikon comes after it's working again.

Now if the issue repeats, then that makes sense.

What does "OP" mean? :?:

Right. I have created templates for forms before but it's been quite a few years since I needed to so I have to relearn some of it.

Thanks.

For what that club is looking for, they DON'T need a template.

Now lets see some photos of her family all dressed up

The girls had planned a luncheon and had to leave. Therefore, no photos taken. Will have to wait for Father's day instead.

No GAS attack for new camera. I WOULD prefer to get an 85mm lens though.... Lol

Try this:

Remove the battery and the SD cards, then hold the on/off switch all the way over to the left (where the bulb icon is) then release it and let it snap back to off, reinsert the battery, and turn it on.

Thanks, LRF!

Why do you not keep SD cards in the camera at all times?

Thanks for the information, Grenaderphoto. I transfer my photo files to my main computer, so there are times when they are not in the camera. Could that be a problem?

My daughter and her 4 children just stopped by to wish my wife a Happy Mother’s Day. They were all bedecked in their finest clothing. So, what do I do……….I get out my D7100 to get some nice shots of the family. Uncapped the lens, put in the SD cards, turned on my baby, and aimed. When I pushed the shutter button, nothing happened. So, I shut it off and back on, to no avail. I tried replacing the battery, and replacing the cards, not working. I did notice that the little green light on the back of the camera stayed lit. Nothing appears on any of the displays internally nor externally. Please tell me that something simple is wrong. I would appreciate your help, please.

At my previous job, we had monthly spreadsheets that downloaded information from our database. From those spreadsheets, we performed a mail merge from excel to word.

The hard part was building the mail merge letter template. You had to use the exact spreadsheet that would be used to complete the mail merge, to build the template. Unfortunately, they never trained me on this step.

But once the template was built, it was used each month to issue our renewal letters. Save this mail merged file at this point, to have as your master letter file.

The next step was to "print" them as a PDF file, which saved them as individual files from the entire master mail merge file, you don't actually print them. But, someone needs to set up the "PDF Printer" on the treasurers computer, along with a yearly folder to hold the files.

Now, you have your individual letters to send electronically to your members as needed.

The hardest part of the process is setting up the template, to select from the correct columns on the spreadsheed.

You make it sound more difficult than it is.

My fishing club treasurer keeps track of all membership dues paid & delinquent.
He wants to send notices to any member who is delinquent but they shouldn't be able to see other member's info/delinquency.

Can any of our UHH Excel gurus help.

You need to merge the spreadsheet information with Word so that only that specific members information appears in the document for that member, and not the others. (i.e., name, address, unpaid dues} nothing more. You can then email the Word document to the delinquent members.
