Yes, my wife thinks that I am crazy for considering carrying the extra weight of the DSLR for 75-100 miles but a friend of mine who has done it several times much prefers that to his iPhone because of what he can do with the big camera.

I’m kinda with your wife on this one, although I would consider a third option: one of the Sony Bridge cameras.

Everyone knows that WD 40 was discovered searching for a water displacement fluid and it’s made out of fish oil

I don’t—because it’s not true.

Yes, I had one of my Smartphone images sent online to Walgreens to have a 8x10 color print made, although I was given only 2 print size choices, a 4x4 print or a 8x8 print, might anyone explain exactly WHY Walgreens could not offer to print my Smartphone image as a 8x10 print, although the 8x8 print is nice, it is NOT what I wanted.

Did you ask them?

Home time zone, summer time for me. Pictures from multiple cameras sort correctly.

But I get annoyed that my iPhone camera adjusts to local time zone.....

Really? Local time seems more relevant. And iPhones are able to tell you the time anywhere in the world. Just go to the clock icon, select “world clock” and edit for location.

GMT or UT is the same. I have a friend in England and we use GMT for arranging when to phone each other. Like areas of the U.S., England has BST which changes with the seasons. Keeping our times to GMT avoids keeping track of what clock time it is there and here.

We have BS time here in the US. It’s been in use for some time.

You now have you answer: "No, it does not", "Yes it will"! :~)

It’s unfortunate that Nikon complicated this so much and required the purchase of extra components. What a screw-up.

I have a D7100 and I have a Fuji. One requires extra components; one does not. One works seamlessly; one does not.

I'm assuming they are interested in having them on their iPad. You can ask them if they have a Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader. If so, you can just give them a memory card. This device is proprietary to Apple, of course, and cost 29 dollars at Apple store. Just a card reader for iPad. I got one when we went on vacation so I could download my pics and see them in the evening when we got back to our room. Sorry, they also sell them at Best Buy, Target, etc.

Yeah I also have the lightning to SD card reader, but can’t locate it. I use a wireless app on my iPad. Very convenient and actually not as slow as some will say.

I used those years ago. I was using point source DYS/DYW 650 Watt peanut lamps in 5” polished bowl reflectors. The Bencher stand I had accepted frames for the polarizers.

They helped with some items, but not the metal embossed school seals on hundreds of yearbook covers I had to copy. The only way to light those well was with the soft boxes. The trick is to match the intensity of the diffuse highlight to that of the specular highlight (or get close to it, by mixing hard and soft light sources of the same color). Then you don’t need polarizers.

One of my repeating clients back in the 90s was a glass artist. I used a DIY light table and cross-polarized strobes using 6”x6” sheets...

For the amount of events I've done I thought this was a simple answer. After all, figuring out photo problems is part of our job! Here's something I've never come across concerning an Ipad.

Besides all the other photos and pictures in a wedding, the client wants copies for use on their iPhone also. Mind you those will be only the ones that have been accepted, not everything, and also in "simple" jpeg form. My question to those here is, what is a method to get the photos on an Ipad?

Normally in that case, I would just put them on a memory card for them to transfer. Now I find out the Ipad doesn't have memory card slot, or maybe it does somewhere but I don't have time to find out as the wedding is to take place in a week. Afterwards I'll have time to do a direct transfer if that will work.

I have never touched an Ipad before so I'm open to your suggestions. How would I put images directly on an Ipad?

There’s a small “rat tail” adapter that plugs into where you charge an iPad. (If I can find it. I’ll take a photo of it) The other end has a card reader. I rarely use it anymore: The way I do it is via WiFi. I download directly from my camera to the iPad.
