Save/Save As options create an Affinity Photo file. Using the Export option allows saving as PNG, JPEG, GIF, TIFF, PSD, PDF, SVG, WMF, EPSON, EXR or HDR files.

I've been playing the bagpipes for 22 years - does that count? ;-)

I've often thought it would be great to be both a piper and a wedding photographer so I could get paid twice for the same wedding...

I use the small Styrofoam pellets like those found in bean bag chairs. Very light but sturdy and conforming when anything is placed on it.

I don't see it mentioned often, but I have been very pleased with Affinity Photo since purchasing it earlier this year. It looks and feels a lot like Photoshop, but without the subscription, and it was very affordable. Being able to use Photoshop plug-ins is nice as well.

If you took three separate photos, you can create one Photoshop document with all three exposures as layers, then use the layer mask function to erase down to the images on the first two layers.

If you want to bypass Photoshop altogether, you may be able to use the multiple exposure function of your DSLR. You didn't mention which camera you're using, but my Nikon D7000 allows you to input the number of exposures you want on a single frame, then you just make that many exposures that are recorded on a single JPG or RAW file.

Hope that helps!

This one is for all of the people who wonder how to take a photo of the moon. Here is how easy it is ... I got out my biggest lens and my tripod and took a picture. ISO=800 > f 5.6 > 1/3200. It was dark out, my camera had those settings, I got an image and came back in. Those are the details for my shot. There a ton of fairly common ISO's and shutter speeds and apertures that will do the job. To get a simple shot of the moon there is no need to have a long exposure. There is no problem with the moon moving. I suggest to all those people who come on to this site and ask how to do it ...... GO OUT and just take a picture; you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Very nice! Here is an HDR version that I took a few weeks back. I combined three photos -- one 1 stop underexposed, one with recommended exposure, and one 1 stop overexposed.
