As probably mentioned in Wikipedia, the High Line is an elevated park running along the Westside from 12th to 34th Street in Manhattan's West Village, Chelsea and Clinton areas. From the Whitney Museum (12th Street) the renovated abandoned rail bed attracts many tourists and locals as the path leads North and curves through many newly constructed high rise apartments and commercial buildings to the Hudson Yards and Javits Convention Center. Unfortunately, gentrification of the areas surrounding the High Line has lead to massive construction where once "open" views of the Hudson River and New Jersey were possible, that except for slivers between buildings, now do not exist. Great for property values but not necessarily for photographers!

Park West Camera Club had assigned its members a photo project, "The Four Seasons of the Highline" and will probably spend a future evening meeting viewing the images from the 4 field trips taken during the last year.
