I have a Manfretto monopod and use it frequently. Mine has a bottom that unscrews and 3 legs open up for better stability. Nice part is many places that forbid tripods allow monopods. I have a Monfretto ball head so the same qplate is used. The mono also works well as a stand for off camera flash. Was a bit pricey but has proven well worth it. I have no regrets about it. The "hidden" legs is great. So far I have not been told I can't do that, I suppose it will happen some day.

He is adorable. Great shot. It will still be remembered when he has his own kids.

I am afraid you missed the news. John Issac uses a 4/3 camera and has many photos published in that format with Nat Geo. He was the head photographer for the UN until he retired. Mr. Issacc started using a 4/3 camera just before his retirement. Again it is the skill of the photographer that makes the photo. I can use Babe Ruth's bat but the only record of his I will break is his strike outs not home runs.

The first thing you should do is make sure the teleconverter works with the lens you want to use. I found out just because both are from same company not all lenses work with a converter. You will lose some light, usually 1-2 stops. If you are shooting action keep the shutter speed up and either lower aperature or raise iso. Depnding on your desired results you may have to do both. If you are shooting a stationary subject you can keep iso low and use a smaller aperature for greater depth of field. What you do for exposure adjustments always depends on what results you want.

I have been asked many times to photogragh a person or persons with their camera. I always say yes with a smile. There is no reason not to and you just made someone's day. I would never charge for this random act of kindness (RAK). On the other hand if they want me to use my camera and take a more formal photo with prints I would charge for that service. I would most likely just send them a digital file at no charge if it was just a shot or two.
So far every request I have had has been a tourist, so I feel I am spreading some good will.

Becareful of which external hard drives you buy if you want to mirror them. WD Passports do not mirror each other. Also you cannot back one up on the other. I found that out after I started using a pair of 2tb Passports. Mirroring is great because everything is backed up as you go.

I have had the Epson R2880 for five years and like the printd. However, every time I change from matte to glossy I have to change black ink. It is a royal pain. Go with the R3800. Both blacks are in it and printer switches for you.

I am still laughing. That is a good one. I never liked the Clinton's anyway, Bill nor Hillary.

That is a really engaging scene the way the lines flow into the center of the photo just draws the viewer's eye into the photo. The colors are very energetic and make the eye move around the whole frame.
