amfoto1 Thanks for the reply and info, you have reminded me of some things I have forgot about maintaining camera performance, always have cap on when not in use. Sometimes try to take picture with it on!! Dumbfounded ME!! And yes being very worried about something that is not required as much as I think! Camera is Canon Rebel T6 I believe can clean sensor through settings but must be done manually by selecting it. I learned a long time ago not to used compressed air in a can, the hard way in a darkroom. Never thought about the Q-tips never would anyway.
Thanks so much for the info.
Bob

Heck girl take it with you be warmer there than where we are
Took a picture beginning of February, We had freezing rain night before with light fog early morning before sunrise. At sunrise noticed ice only on the first 12 to 18 inches of branches only none elsewhere, I thought how odd. All the trees seemed to be the same. Grabbed my camera and took a few shots. Used Shutter speed 1/250, Aperture 10, ISO at 100, 18 to 55mm lens. than loaded on to Photoshop and did some editing with the one that looked best. Had to keep sun showing very little to eliminate possible sun glare with the camera. The second image is what I came up with to accent the ice on branches. At first didn't like it much but more I see it I do like the overall scene.
Nice shots Christy, maybe Thursday you can go out, calling for 60-70. Big 10-4 on getting tired of this winter/snow below average temps. Really like the 7th and 9th one. You will get a lot of use on lens.

Did not expect such a quick reply on this. THANK YOU ALL. Bob
Bkyser Thanks for the info and reply. Its sounds like not needed to often, just been wondering since have taken a lot of photo for 3 month. New into digital photography. Still lean towards the old film format and cameras. Decided to get my feet wet, learning a lot over a small time!!
Thanks again Bob
Gene51 thanks for the reply, a lot of dust comes from rear cap.. did not realize this
Thanks Bob
DirtFarmer Thanks for the reply and info. Been into photography for a long time and pretty mechanical inclined. Not afraid to do this cleaning process myself. But it look right now worried about nothing for the time. Thanks for the second reply I will keep all the things you discussed in mind and bring it up when needed.
Thanks Bob
