High School's "High School Musical"

Took my new Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II to my kids' former high school to shoot pictures for a friend who's son was performing in their version of "High School Musical". What a fun way to try out my new lens!! Got some very nice images considering that I was just pointing and shooting in auto this time. I was trying to capture as many of the cast as possible and they all were moving so fast, so I was not focused on lining up artistic shots. Anyway, these were a few of my favorite shots from the evening! I am in LOVE with my new lens and am very pleased at the clarity of the shots that I was able to get from way out in the audience. Can't wait for it to stop snowing so I can take it outside!!

Nice shots Christy, maybe Thursday you can go out, calling for 60-70. Big 10-4 on getting tired of this winter/snow below average temps. Really like the 7th and 9th one. You will get a lot of use on lens.

Thanks Bob! Sadly, I work all day Thursday, then head to IC to celebrate middle daughters 21st bday. So I will miss the nice day. But spring weather HAS to get here eventually!

Very nice, Christy. I've always enjoyed taking pics of my grandchildren in various entertaining venues. Whether it's a High School concert or play to a kindergarten event it's all good. I've gotten quite a few nice pics for memories.
