I agree about the presentation of the flowers!! Awesome! Would you please provide the type of camera, f-stop, filters, etc., you use for the photos, for the benefit of us novices. I would to afford a super camera with all the bells and whistles but have to rely on an iPhone 7+. I mainly use Snapseed for my post-editing.

This is absolutely perfection in my book! If you don’t have this framed and hanging on your wall, I would love your permission to hang on mine! Superb! What, if any, post-editing app/program did you use? I only have an iPhone 7+ that takes pretty good photos and I mostly use Snapseed to post-edit. Thank you!!

I love making photos of sunsets—they’re my favorite thing to photograph. I like to “think outside of the box” and ask myself “What if...” or, “I wonder what it would look like if...”. I apply this thinking when taking most photos unless I’m in a hurry. Here is one of my favorite sunsets. I try to limit my post editing, sticking to the basic iPhone edit tools. But, I also use the Snapseed App for post-editing if I feel my photo needs it or my mood dictates it. I’ve gotten instructions from two sources that has helped me a lot and like critiques and suggestions about my photography skills, or lack there of! TIA

I made this photo in our neighborhood by one of the walking trails. Used my iphone 7+ and used Snapseed to post-edit it with the Accentuate filter to sharpen the photo. The weather was cool and with a medium overcast.

Any suggestions to improve? Thanks!

Jim

Very nice! Great “thinking outside the box” photo! I love to experiment adding different filters and general editing tools. My problem is I have too many post editing apps but I mainly use Snapseed and Photoshop, which fill my need to say “what if...”.

Welcome! Having spent time in Arizona, Wyoming, and in Texas now, I love western art and photos. Love this photo! At 71 years young, I like to experiment in B&W with past subjects such old/antique items and Western scenes. I think this photo would be nice also in B&W. If you haven’t tried it, do so and post a pic of both for comparison! If you don’t like it, no problem! I try to think outside the norm and sometimes it works and sometimes not. Welcome and good luck in making great photos!

Greetings! Used to own a Canon AV1 film camera with all kinds of attachments and a HEAVY Vivitar 70/210 lens and a couple of smaller ones. Spent a fortune on filters and film processing costs. Finally, camera broke—cost too much to repair so I stopped making photos until my son worked at Best Buy and later at Apple and got me hooked on iPhones. Loved the idea of taking my iPhone every where without all the equip., and making multi copies of the same scene without paying half my paycheck on processing fees! The iPhone makes me “shutter”!! Glad to be on board!! (Use Snapseed for most post-processing).
