Having an issue and wondering if anybody else is and has somebody found a fix:
I use a 2015 MacBook Pro to process photos with Lightroom, using a second 27 inch monitor. Both are calibrated often. Lately, whenever I turn on or “wake up” my MacBook, the brightness is turned all the way up and I have to turn it down; sort of defeating the whole idea of calibrating it. It is NOT on “auto brightness” etc. anybody else having this issue?
I have a 2016 15” MacBook Pro and mine does not do that. Once I set it with calibration then the brightness stays at that level. I would book an appointment with the “genius” at an Apple store if you have one nearby as once you set your brightness it should stay there.
I in fact have the opposite problem. After using Lightroom at the calibrated level, which works fine, and then go back to other computer work such as spreadsheets, then I have to turn the brightness back up for my aging eyes.
