I sent the other...a sunset... first. These two flowers were supposed to be in the same group.

A few older photographs I never got around to playing with. I have always tended to like heavy saturation so - comments?

I hit send too quickly. I had two others.

I want a case just like it. 🤯
iPhone shot, the quality isn’t there. It’s just about the fantasy.

And what a fantasy it is. Lets see, this or a Candy apply red Testarofsa? decisions, decisons.

Every lens has strengths and weaknesses. Just read a comprehensive review to see what distortions and aberrations each one has at different focal lengths. Macro lenses at one focal length are optimized to be best when magnified but also good at infinity. So yes a top quality macro with excellent technique will outperform a standard lens when magnified. That said, you can get really good results from a standard lens, by itself with cropping or with extension tubes. And a lot has to do with technique. It's easy to ruin a macro shot.

The 100-400 version ii is unique because it has .31x magnification built in and if looks good when magnified. Most lenses have some magnification, but usually in the .15x to .20x range. The extender acts similar to an extension tube by increasing the magnification, but a regular 25mm extension tube with no extender would also get it close to half life size.

On the current topic of using a long lens for close up work. I have often done this as well. I also have a couple of 1:1 close up lenses. I am not able to see any difference but wondering, from the techies, is there any actually difference in the recorded image?

What’s sad is your asinine response........one can notice TDS without actually being a follower of Trump (just like SOME of us were able to notice unfair attacks on Obama despite not being Obama followers). Clearly you’re not one.

Even sadder, I was referring to a quote by another poster! Are you that slow???

I posted something and instead of addressing it you elected to attack.... I posted ”Your post is angry and childish....have you even read a timeline of this virus?????
This current strain, referred to as COVID-19, first popped up on global radar in December 2019. Our first known case was Jan 22 (?). We started bringing Americans out of Wuhan on Jan 24 and the travel ban went into affect on Jan 31 or so.
I don’t see any “months” of lag.
I also never saw any ignoring (remember....ignore doesn’t mean he yakked about it, it means they offered specific action and he told them no).
No one got fired or removed for working on it.
In short, you’re a partisan hack liar.”

Again, I note you offer no data but just your own insults and opinion, which makes you the sad one.
Especially sad is that you couldn’t follow the speed of the thread.

Go home.

my apologies. but the thread has gone pretty much crazy with wing nuts stating so called facts on both sides. Am going to drop out of the discussion, if it can even be called that, about right now.

previous to this you accused someone of being affected by TDS.

Your reference to any who disagree with you as TDS shows you to be someone incapable of intelligent conversation. Not worth listening to as to you, trump is your cult leader and can do no wrong. Everything is dismisses as part of TDS and therefore, requires no real response. Sad.
