We were there in February and, while it snowed every morning, it never was a problem getting around.
I suspect some Santa Fe website has weather history.

My wife and I were out in February and came out during the summer a few years back. There is no end to available subjects, large and small. And make sure you leave time to take in Canyon Road galleries (and lots of other ones too). There's a nice photography studio tucked back from that road, Kat Livingood. She has some great photos of mustangs and landscapes, and she's as nice and helpful as she can be.
Have a great time and take extra storage capacity!

And, now that I reflect, The Blue Lion in Jackson was excellent-might still be there? Bill
Beware: Jenny Lake restaurant is elegant but requires a sports jacket for dinner.
In was lucky because it was over 90 and they waived the requirement. Dinners were very good, but not spectacular. Service was excellent.
I didn't use a guide-although I often do-because there's so much to see. Not to be supercilious, but make use of golden hours-the mountains are terrific! And, if you are able to find an ephemeral pool (not very likely in Sept), they're great too.
Lots to shoot. Advice from the camera shop fellow sounds worth seeking and following.
Enjoy! (wish I were going)

The top one is by far the better one, in my opinion. Very natural looking (as compared to the second one).
Bill
Thanks, Karin. Nice shots, especially the last one.
Bill
I really like the first one! Not the standard "Fairy Circle." (Neither is the second one...)

To take the discussion on a relevant tangent:
There's, what I thought was an engaging story, about an Amur tiger in a book entitled,
"The Tiger," by John Vaillant, about the hunt for a man-eating (for good reason!) Amur tiger along the Amur River in Far Eastern Russia
in Winter (-40 degrees).
Thanks again for the photos Karin.
Bill
Lovely! Thanks.
Not in South Florida, I suspect.
Bill
Thanks Karin. I'll take a look before I leave. Bill
Very nice "shots" Karin. Thank you!
One of the things I'd most like to do is travel to the Amur region and see/photograph these guys in the wild!
My wife is resisting...
In the meantime, I might have to settle visiting Cleveland on my way to MN this summer.

Thanks Phil-they're terrific!
I'll probably never see these in the wild (peregrines are over in Blackwater but not here).
But I just learned that I might catch a shot on a plane some time. Falcons are allowed as carry-on luggage, at least
some places. (oyster.com)

Sunsets over there in February are great, and bugless. I tend to stay on this side of the Nanticoke after May 15th until October.

I used one yesterday off Nanticoke Rd. (A BB would have helped, but I could see better afterwards anyway.)
