Definitely evocative of a bygone time. Nice work.
I've got a D1 I boxed up complete with charger in original box. It's a paperweight & I never figured what killed it. Could buy 2 D850s for what it cost but it was fun to shoot.
I took a similar shot a couple of nights ago but the sky is Houston sucks with light pollution. Your dot has more detail than my dot. I used my Tamron 150-600 as wide open as it would go but that still means a pretty small aperture.
Make sure the space you're looking at in you Dell allows the use of a PCIe card. GTX1050 & up "should" meet your needs and the amount of RAM in your system should be sufficient. I concur with the hard drive mentioned by Gary up above. A solid state drive ( SSD ) makes a world of difference in apparent machine speed. You didn't mention how much free space is on your hard drive. If it's loaded up with very little room left, your system is spending a lot of time utilizing disc space for your temp files which are created when using your programs.
I like #1 even more in download. Very striking. The others are great, #1 just does it for me.
One of these days I'm going to be out of Houston with a clear sky. The moon was just so inviting on the darkening sea of blue, I just had to set up for a couple of shots.
Nikon D500, Tamron 150-600 at 600mm, f11, 1/400, ISO640. Shot with Live view & electronic cable release. I've noticed the lens appears to be a little soft at 600mm, if I win the lottery I see a Nikon 600 f4.
Nice but I especially like #3 and the mist.
FYI, you can't install a separate graphics card in a laptop. You can spend hundreds on cards for desktop machines, however, and many gamers do just that. Some of the gaming laptops may have higher end graphics but I really don't follow that since I don't have time to play games on computers. When would I have time to process RAW otherwise? LOL

It's a great (& unusual) shot, Rena, especially on download. Are you sure it's a mushroom?
I could be an alien life form. If it's the pod people, don't go to sleep. Nice shot and interesting subject.
Very nice group Vickie. I like the horse looking back in the last shot like "are you finished YET???"
#2 is positively alien looking. Nice series.
Before you allow them to progress on a reinstall, be sure you have all your documents & photos backed up to some kind of an external device. Dell, and others, are notorious for wiping out your data and giving you a "fresh" install to work from.
I especially like #2 & 3. Very well photographed.
