My plans to go to Bear River were "overtaken by events," but I hope to get there next week if the weather allows. This set shows the landscape scenes I encountered in yesterday's dog walk at the far end of our local lake. As the sun rose, I encountered light play that I hope you enjoy.

NB - Several commenters state that they like my "excellent" shots and want me to leave the other shots out. First, I am not deliberately leaving in poor shots in my opinion. I am serious when I ask for comments and suggestions, especially as to individual shots. That is how UHH has helped me improve. This set, for example, contains various approaches to the light I encountered. Your observations help me improve or, at least, understand how my work is perceived. If I were the expert that some believe, I would not need your input.

Last month we stayed in a yurt in Dead Horse Point SP for two nights to take advantage of the new moon sky. My wife loves seeing the stars in a dark sky location and the yurts are perfect venues. You just step out your door and everything is dark. The last time we tried this the California forest fires obscured the sky, so we made another attempt.

Dead Horse is located adjacent to Canyonlands, so reaching it requires travel through Canyonlands. Of course, I took advantage of the location to shoot in both parks.
