its the waves

So the waves created a light spot where an eye normally would be? How? Thanks!

I'd blame it on Satan. Isn't a three headed Duck a sign of the End Times?

Don't know how it's done now but back then they were highly regulated and the hunting was not only controlled but the state made a fortune charging for licenses for them. Out of stater's were paying well over $1000 for license and some have been on the waiting list for years. Even the state residents were highly regulated.

I believe there is elk hunting available outside the RMNP - although it appears that you must travel through RMNP to access some areas. I draw this conclusion from signs I saw posted.

My guess is it's just the way the ripples are reflecting the sky.

Your guess is much better than mine! Thanks! It still is uncanny how it created an eye!

Had some elk when I was out in Wyoming for a job interview back in the late 70's. Best tasting meat ever.

Interestingly, there is an over population of elk in the Rocky Mountain National Park. If you want to eat some more elk try visiting Grand Lake - it is served in restaurants! Perhaps we are a step away from returning wolves to RMNP?

I was photographing foggy mountains over a Colorado lake and happened upon a single duck. The sun was setting which caused a nice shadow of the duck. It was later when I previewed my shot that I noticed that something was very wrong about his shadow! The photo was not as sharp as I would like, but it is exactly as the camera recorded in jpg (I also have it in RAW). No processing by a practical joker!

What do you think caused this abberation? I really don't know.

Second photo is one of the foggy mountains.

Disregard "download attached file" - my bad - these were RAW!

Bull Elk seem like magnets to photographers and the cows seem to be overlooked. Here two photos of some beautiful cows. The second one has "frosted hair" courtesy of mother nature just after dawn.

This is my first time photographing elk on the west side of Rocky Mountain Park. This set features a large bull tending to his herd of about 25 cows as the sun goes down. My camera is a 5D Mark iii, a Sigma Sport 150-600 and a monopod.

We are seeing alot of Painted Ladies in Lincoln, NE. My butterfly bush is a big attraction! I don't have a macro lens so I used my Canon EF 70-300mm zoom F4-5.6 along with my Canon EOS 5D Mark III.

Just inserted a mini-screwdriver alongside the eject button and it lifted right up. All is well!

What do I do to get the eject button to pop back up?

Took this picture with Canon 5D Mark iii with auto-focus (Canon 28-70mm 2.8 L). Not perfect, but fun, fast and non-intrusive!
