Read all the post and make your own judgement, as opinions vary.

My wife went to the Taj about a year ago and she said there are no posts forbidding photography inside the building. However, it will be so crowded that it might prove difficult to take a decent photo.
What I know is forbidden is taking pictures of the mausoleum which is below, inside the building. There is where the Shah Jahan and his wife lie. Which takes me to a most embarrassing experience.
I went there 23 years ago and had my first camera, an Olympus film point and shoot. I went down to the mausoleum and me and my philosophy of asking for forgiveness in lieu of permission pressed the shutter. I thought I had enough light and that the flash wouldn't go off. Well, not only the flash illuminated the whole room, but what I didn't know is that it was the last frame of the roll. So, right there the camera started rolling up the film, making this loud high pitch sound for what seemed like an eternity, while EVERYONE looked scornful at me. One of those "wanna get away" moments.

Hopefully, you remembered to take the battery out.

Great shot indeed. While I would venture to say that most of us have witnessed what could have been an outstanding photo, a big part of capturing it comes from being ready. Had I been in milestogo shoes I don't think I would have gotten that photo as I don't carry my rig around ready to go. May I ask what did you use to take the photo and if you have your camera by your side just in case? Doesn't looks like you could be close enough to pull the cellphone without scaring out the big bird.

Never had much problems downloading to my android phone or ipad Air using SnapBridge from my D500. If it seems that the camera is not sending the photos, I remove the connection at both camera and phone/ipad, cycle the phone/ipad and reconnect. That usually takes care of the issues.

Those are darn nice shots. The glass doesn't seem too shabby either. I've asked myself if the cost of the D5 justifies the three times my D500's. I guess it depends what you use it for.

Although not a color printer, I have an HP Laserjet I bought back in 1994 and still is going on strong. I guess "they don't make them like they used to". I do know that every time a color printer is turned on there is quite a bit ink being used. So, you can turn that printer on and off and run out of ink before printing a single page. Therefore, I never turn off my color printer.

Well, based on the response, I went ahead and updated the lens data firmware. Happy to say all my nikons and tokina lens work fine. Made sure my lens was out though. Perhaps that could be the issue of those who had problems. Thanks to all.

There are three things that show you are getting old.

The first one is that you start losing your memory.

And I can't remember the other two...

I can't understand why people shoot RAW + Jpeg when the RAW file contains a embedded Jpeg and can be easily separated using the EXCELLENT free Program Instant Jpeg from RAW. Down load from.

http://michaeltapesdesign.com/instant-jpeg-from-raw.html

For my D500 that has dual card, for backup. One card goes bad, I have the other.
For bluetooth transmission to smart phone or tablet, the jpeg is the one that gets sent -the raw does not.
I once shot an event and had to convert my raw files using the adobe dng converter. For some reason they were filled with awful noise. The jpeg files saved me.

I have shot my kids baseball from little league through college. Also, take my camera to our local AAA minor games. You have been given good responses. Here are some tips I would like to add.

I shoot with a D500 and a 70-300mm, I do use an Optech sling strap https://optechusa.com/utility-strap-sling.html to rest the camera between innings. Use a manfrotto quick release plate for the camera and attach the strap to it. That way the strap won't be in your way.

I used to shoot from the foul lines (ask the umpire first!), but I find much better to carry a two-step ladder and shoot from over the fence and get better angles. Shooting from the dugout (ask the coach too!) is nice to get home plate photos, but I find the players and umpires get in the way of other plays and miss the shot.

ALWAYS keep an eye where is the ball. Especially, when you are close to first base. Foul balls and warm up throws between innings can also get you if you are exposed.

If there is a net between you and the game, pressing the lens against the net will make the net less visible. Again, watch for balls coming your way.

Always include the ball in your pictures. Makes the shot much more interesting.

if you are in the field, you can get good pitcher shots when warming up between innings.

Look out for players expressions and emotions.

Happy shooting, it's a lot of fun.

Yes, I did. I posed the question to Tokina and they have not come back yet. I wanted to learn about someone else's experiences as well. I won't bother with Nikon, as they have repeatedly stated they will not guarantee anything about non-nikon products.

Recently, Nikon released firmware upgrade LD 2.017. I have a D500 and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 DXII. I heard from another UHH that his Sigma lens was no longer doing autofocus. All my other lenses are Nikon's and would like to apply the upgrade, but I would not want my wide angle to stop working. Has anyone applying this upgrade has this Tokina lens? If so, have you noticed any adverse reaction afterwards? -Thanks.

I got 8, but I thought Maxwell worked with electromagnetics. Evidently, he developed (no pun here) color photography as well.
