To be honest, I find laptops not so suitable for photo editing. At least not as my main "Dark Room". I only use my laptop when I cant have my tower with me, on travels etc.

I have not tested one of those "Gaming laptops" which supposed to have much better hardware. no doubt gaming hardware is need it in order to have a smooth pc for GFX editing. But I've tested a pretty brand new HP 840 G3 laptop, i7 CPU, 16GB RAM, SSD drive, still it was not as smooth as my gaming tower is. And this is now a 4 year old beast with Intel i5, 24GB ram, SSD and 2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 770. No laptop I've had in my hands could match the speed of my workflow, or the amount of threads the PC has to do.

Hi
this is an interesting subject to me since I've been thinking about my self.
BUT: While I was learning to use LR from Tony Northrup's video tutorials on youtube, I know there was a statement that cropping should be done at the end. Because you blow up the photo and then the pixels are getting bigger. Applying PP after the crop it may result in more noise, and more visible pixels. But I think it has to do with how much you're going to crop like SS and Btbg mentioned.

I for one, I do the cropping at the end. It's a habit for me I guess. A while back, I was pretty much cropping my picture heavy, simply cause I was not so used to take care of the composition factor. But with time, I see I crop much less.

I'll be following this thread as I want to know more about it myself.

Hi catalint
I assume you are suggesting creating another "Adobe" account? If so, I think that would require an additional monthly subscription.

Oh no, just a computer account .

In a recent New York Times article, a Mr. Wiking (pronounced "Viking") described his native Danish language "as sounding like a dead seal choking." Thus you are not far off the mark!

My take on it is that if you want to learn Danish, the best way to pronounce correctly is to put an small egg in your month and talk :D :D :D

Hi Roger,

try creating another local account and see if helps. Maybe your issue is related to something within your profile.
From the screen dump , it's impossible to say anything solid.

By all means , don't wait for Windows to "notify you if a solution is available" :)

I and the photographer are of Danish descent. Does THAT make a difference?

I tried to scroll down fast so i dont look at any answers.
It cant be anything else than a road, covered by slushy snow that froze again. Typical in Norway :) . One day is freezing cold, the next it warms up and everything is wet and like slush. The next night it freezes again , and next morning hell is loose on the roads.

The Bugs got me investing into a Nikon 105mm 2.8 macro lens.
Looking forward to get me one of those light rings someday, but for now I've been placing headlamps, 1 and 2 and 3 at once :D along with another lamp.. Now it's winter , and have no bugs, so I started looking for small object. And even winter, I am not able to do a shot like your snowflake , which I like a lot. We do not have have any freaking snow in Oslo.

Beautiful shots, Catalin! How old is that poor dog?

Good morning from a rainy Oslo,
His name is Albus, and he's 9,5 years old. Benjamin the Bernard puppy of almost 70KG and 9 months, gives him a hard time. He want to rest most of the time, Benjamin wants to play, and he can be very persistent. But there is only one Boss , and that's Albus. And he has no problem speaking his mind :D
