KITE!!
What could be more entertaining than a blue-sky day, kids, and a multitude of delightfully colored and animated kites?

Fargo, ND a couple of weeks ago; clear blue skies, a steady breeze, enthusiastic kids(and a grandma flying the soccer kite), and we were lucky enough to be there with cameras. J.Bruce

Thanks for the memories! I recall camping at a primitive campground up the trail and beyond the falls. Stayed there overnight and was told when I returned home, that this was grizzly country and not safe for camping so far from the main campground. But that was in another time and life when I lived in Billings, oh so many years ago. J Bruce.

I just looked at my year 2010 Win 7, and there it is just waiting to be used. I'm glad you asked, or I would have never looked.

When my cameras screens 'black out' I just rotate the camera s needed and the screen becomes again readable. Try it, then you may not need to chuck your essential sunglasses. This issue varies among cameras. John

Pure delight. I saved a copy to put on a DVD for future enjoyment on the HD widescreen, as I frequently do when I see an image that is especially gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. John

Image from my morning walk. Spring just might be here--finally. I love the interplay of the bright, lime-green aspen leaves against the totally clear blue sky--memories of my past life in Montana's Big Sky country. 5d3, 24-105L, slight crop and highlights in Picassa. C&C welcome.

I was wondering if anyone was using this combo on an 80D. I just wanted to know what to expect with auto focus, IQ ect.

Thanks
Tom

Just this past week I have been using my 80D with 70-200L f4 and canon TC 1.4 II (note this is the II). It is a very good combination and produces an image that is better than I can crop from the 200 alone. I believe the III is rated even better than the II at focus speed. I have no focusing issues with the very good Canon AF system on the 80. The lens/camera has been micro focused as has the 1.4 addition. The 80d has the ability to establish a separate micro focus with the addition of the TC. I love the possibilities with these combinations. I should add that the Tamron extender WILL NOT work with the 80d at all, ever.

Wife, the gardener, says she can't identify the flower, but showing more of the foliage might help.

Great shot! I've been trying to figure out why I like 'street'. You've just shown a perfect example.

I like the second shot--a lot. I've been trying for a similar one for the past several Falls. When I DO get the opportunity, hope I have an ultra-wide at hand. John
